Hello. Has anybody got this problem? I have just upgraded to FH 6.0 and have found that I cannot upload my gedcom to WorldConnect and Ancestry. The latter says my file does not seem to be a valid gedcom format. Yet I have done nothing different, merely saved my file as a Gedcom in the normal way via...

I don't see why reinstalling FH should work, as we have shown, I think, that McAfee is the problem!

I've uninstalled McAfee (it still has some months to run on the subscription) and FH works perfectly again. I already had AVAST! anti-virus software on a laptop and have installed that on my PC. It's free and seems to be pretty good.

I see others have worked out it's a McAfee issue - so I shall uninstall that and see....

If it's any use to others, there were three Windows Updates which my PC automatically installed about 5 pm on Friday 16 September. Uninstalling all three makes no difference to the FH program which continues to shut down about 30 seconds after opening. What happens now? Basically FH is now unusable ...
