It is really strange, the To Do tasks is working with the Baptism: as well no problems, however the To Do List is still showing the owner column and the other columns blank. I have double checked and I haven't used the stray s and the entries match identically. It is a real puzzle....

Yes all 13 people are listed in the owner column, it is just all the other columns that are empty. (I expected the other columns to be empty but the Birth Tasks should show something I think. If I do the To Do Tasks query and input Birth: into the pop up box all 13 people are displayed with my notes...

Thanks both, I have now worked through all the query stages and created them all and they have all bee accepted. I have included: Birth:, Baptism: Census: Marriage: Death: and Burial: When I run the query the empty columns can be seen, however, I have entered in one of the records information as fol...

I have been working through the guidance on this and it has all worked just as described until I got to the query section, I have realised it is to do with the earlier paragraph. I may be missing something obvious here but I can't for the life of me work out which section to do this in: 'It is recom...

Many thanks,
That is fantastic, all sorted. I think 4 should do me for now but I can always add more later.

Alternative names
Hi Bill,
That looks like a good way to go. I have set up the name tab and added in name and name 2 and name 3, the bit I'm not sure about is how to add the prefix, suffix and nick name boxes.
Many thanks,
Susan

Alternative names
Many thanks Nick, I have set it up. I may be pushing it beyond the bounds here but do you think it would be feasible that when a second name is added the box appears but when there isn't one the box is hidden? I'm guessing not but it may just surprise me.
Thanks
Thanks

I quite like the quick method if adding alternative names in next to the name display in the reference box however there doesn't seem any quick way to reference where these names are used. For instance I can go into the source information for each census entry and see how the name is given there (pr...

That's fantastic thank you so much Mike, that one tutorial has given me enough information to really take things to a new level. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain.

Focus window query
I have had lots of fun editing the diagram view to just how I would like them but I'm unsure whether the focus window action I'd like to do is possible? I would like to (if possible) set it so that if the person has the complete records set flag the focus window either changes colour or a marker app...

Changing repositories
Many thanks for all your replies, Lorna you have suggested exactly what I plan to do with regard to Ancestry/FreeCen etc being the publisher and the National Archive as the repository. In the end I worked down all 200+ entries and changed them one at a time. I am now doing the same with parish recor...

Changing repositories
Having discovered the you tube videos for Ancestral sources I have now improved how I source information. I was previously creating my census entries and putting Ancestry.com as the repository. I have now correctly created a National Archive repository. Is anyone aware of a plug in or other quicker ...

Deleting Record Flags
I have spent a couple of evening searching both the Family Historian menu's and guidance but I can find no way of deleting a record flag. I have added expressions into my diagrams to add the census flags etc and have removed the record flags from the diagram options. I would now like to totally dele...
