Fed Up
I am tearing my hair out by the roots. I have imported my database from another Family Tree software package and all my multimedia documents are there, eg. photo's, census records etc. in the Multimedia Records screen. I have spent hours linking each person to his/her face on photograph and/or his/h...

multimedia links
Sorry folks because I know the issue of moving files and fixing links has been covered before but I just don't seem to be able to get anything to work. I'm sure I must be doing something wrong, so could someone please give me an idiot's guide to doing this. My situation: I had all my files on an ext...

event/attribute list
when making a new attribute there is the facility to alter the template with <<insert code. Top of the list is 'Name of Individual (or He/She)'. I want the person's name to appear but all I can get to appear is She or He, dependent upon sex. Can anyone help please. Thanks and regards, Sue. http://ww...

As a programmer myself, I find it very frustrating not to have the 'is not null' operator available to me.
Is there any chance of this operator being added to the list please.
Thanks,
Sue

Panning
Would it be possible to have a pan hand on the media page, ie. instead of having to use the scroll bars (horizontal and vertical) be able to grab hold of the image and move it around.

flags on multimedia records page
On the bottom left hand side of multimedia records page the headings read 'Link and Notes' and 'Flags'. Could someone please tell me what sort of flags I should expect to see here because currently the only thing I can see is X mark that seems to be the same one that appears when I don't want a mult...

To Do List
Thanks all, I will try out the Named List feature. The term 'Named List' isn't very intuitive to look up in the 'help file' - hence me not finding it before.
Sorry to have caused a problem when there really wasn't one.

To Do List
It would be really good to have somewhere to construct a 'to do' list. And/or somewhere to make general notes that are not associated with any single person or group of persons.
Keep up the good work.

Help!! - Newbie and very confused!!
Thanks for all that David - I was extremely interested to hear about your method of finding details before 1837 - also being new to this hobby, I was wondering how folk went back further. I was going to leave that problem until I got there. Coming from a big family - on both sides - it will be a whi...

Version 2 is the best!!
Sorry folks, I read this bit of advertising and I understood it immediately, ie. FH V2 was the best and then along came V3 and confirmed that FH is definitely the best.

Help!! - Newbie and very confused!!
I am somewhat new to this is well and I started looking stuff up on Ancestry.co.uk - pointing me to census records but I kept hitting the issue of paying. I eventually bit the bullet and subscribed for a year - costly but a small price to pay for the amount of enjoyment I've had. You can actually tr...
