Hi Nick, My system is totally unconventional but it works for me....and that's what matters [smile] I save my Census records by Year, Husband and Wife format in a Surname folder. If there is another line of a Smith family then I add the place name, in County, Town, Street format, in shortened versio...

Printing Manual

Set up printer to print all 209 pages, 2 sided. Wasn't impressed with printout, got first page of chapters on either the left or right page. Would have been better if first page had been on the right. Which I had to do by printing each chapter Separately.

Searching the BMD's in Ancestry.co.uk

Occasionally the search returns with a quarter missing. To retreive it try the following. Example. Searched for a marriage in 1851, only Q1, Q2 and Q3 returned. Load Q3, look in the http:// address for ONS_M, followed by five digits and two letters, i.e. ONS_M18513AH. Change it to read ONS_M18514AH ...
