Re: Import of Source Elements from TMG
We've tweaked this in 6.0.4. Previously, custom source elements in custom source types were not getting the correct labels (they were just labelled as "Source Element"). That has now been fixed.

Re: Import of Source Elements from TMG
Source elements are now imported from TMG as labelled notes within source records. This was added in 6.0.3. See http://www.family-historian.co.uk/downl ... ee-upgrade for a free update for V6 users.

Fixed in 6.0.3?
We have now released a new version of FH (6.0.3) which we believe fixes the crashing problem reported in this thread. We can't be 100% certain because there may be more than one problem. But we have certainly found a very good candidate that is media-related, and can cause the program to crash in mu...

Re: TextPart fails via Plugin
Thanks for report this Mike. It turns out that all functions which have a parameter which is an enumerated value, introduced in version 6, also don't work with fhCallBuiltInFunction. We will fix this (for all of them) in the next upgrade (due out soon).

Re: Individual Narrative Report problems
BillH - I can't reproduce the problem of the citations overlaying other text - any suggestions as to how make that happen? The problem of the lack of a space between the best man and bridesmaid sentences can be fixed by adjusting the role clauses. Previously they all had gaps between them e.g. <The ...

Re: report window and property box
Bill - I can't reproduce this. It seems to work fine whenever I try it. Just to be 100% clear, can I just confirm that you definitely understand the different between opening a brand new window (which is what the "Default Property Box Action When Workspace is Opened" column is about), and re-using a...

Re: report window and property box
It's not you. It's a bug. Some of the lines are mixed up in Preferences - i.e. the settings don't go with the label (3, 4 and 5 are wrong, I think - but you can check this by experimentation). Thanks for reporting that. It will be fixed in 6.0.0.3.

Re: Reports - formatting list of sources
Thanks for reporting this. It will be fixed in the next upgrade. That is to say - if the source number is larger than the current indent, the source text will just shift right appropriately rather than starting on the next line. Also you will be able to change the paragraph indent for the source tex...

Re: Go Back/Go Forward arrows in Property Box
Lorna - the intention of the design of the Go Back/Go Forward buttons was that it remembered up to 2 tabs per record - the 'entry' tab and the 'exit' tab. The 'entry' tab is the first tab that is displayed when a given record is displayed in the Property Box (i.e. following a switch from another rec...

Re: Facts and GED standard.
It's true that we can't do anything about the list of standard facts as defined by GEDCOM. But we do allow people to define their own sets of custom facts (called fact sets) and to share them with others by uploading them to this website - see http://www.fhug.org.uk/wiki/doku.php?id=fhugdownloads:fa...

Re: Go Back/Go Forward arrows in Property Box
We have tried to replicate the problems you both mention without success. I tried as an experiment clicking on a long series of people, to create a chain. In doing so I selected them by clicking on a record in the Records window and by clicking on 'Go To Spouse' links and 'Go To Parent' links in the...

V5 slow running
Where FH is slow to start up, this can be caused by an over-zealous anti-virus program. Most AV programs have 'real-time' protection which means that they run checks whenever a program is executed. And sometimes they can really slow it down. To get round this problem they often provide a way of e...

chart - has colour on 'hidden' members.
Tick the option 'Print text, lines and boxes in black-and-white only' on the Print tab of Diagram Options. If you click the 'Hide' command to hide a box, its 'Hidden' flag is set and it won't ordinarily appear. But if you want to see boxes that have the 'Hidden' flag set, tick the 'Show Hidden Boxes...

There is no built-in function that provides this at the moment. One for the Wish List perhaps? Alternatively, it would be easy to implement it in a plugin if you could persuade someone to write it, or if you fancied writing it yourself. If you don't know how to write plugins but fancied giving it ...

Hi Craig - I presume you've tried closing everything down, restarting your PC and then trying it again? Also, have you tried upgrading to 5.0.9?
