Re: GRO Index Searches
From tatewise 06 Sep 2017 "I suspect this GRO Index search service is still somewhat experimental, and users have noticed some errors and omissions. It may well be extended to cover more years, and possibly Marriages too. Who knows?" AFAIK, this is what is left of the GRO's abandoned plan to put eve...

Re: Hints
To go back to the original question about greyed out Hints, if you click on the Focus Window icon and then the Hints icon, they will be back to being fully readable.

Re: Relation to head of family in 1851 census

Re: Select Repository... window - any way to simulate clicking on OK using keyboard?
This was something that had bugged me on and off as well! After a bit of experimentation, Alt-O seems to work in 6.2.2 and Win 10.
I did find one box that had the 'O' of OK underlined and Ctrl-O shut that one.

Re: Loss of gender choice menu in Property Box
Thank you one and all for your replies.
I just hadn't thought of right-clicking on the name in the All tab (d'oh!) to see what happened. Of course, it works a treat. So in future, I'll try right-clicking before asking questions.
Thanks again...

Re: Loss of gender choice menu in Property Box
Thank you very much jimlad68 and tatewise for your replies. Sorry, the bit I didn’t mention in my original mail was that I enter the sex of a person using the All tab. I’ve also just managed to reproduce the hiccup. To set the scene, the property box is docked and the only mod to it is the addition ...

Loss of gender choice menu in Property Box
Toshiba Equum ~ Vista Home Premium ~ FH v5.0.9 Way back in the learning curve, sometimes (embarrassingly, quite a few times  ) I would forget to note a child’s sex in the Property Box. When I come across them now, I can’t enter their sex in the Property Box because the space to enter it isn’t ...
