I may come back to you if this proves less than it seems! I would like to have a go at a plugin but it may be a while before i can spare...

re .htaccess
can I use this to enable my many users (400 or so) to have their own usernames and passwords? Looking online it will only let me have one username and password. There does not appear to be any use of database or administration of multiple passwords and users. Am I wrong?

Hi Bonzo and Tatewise In order to prevent access to pages you can put them in a protected directory. I have done this. However, once you access a page and know its address you can access the page anywhere online without any password being required! All I want to do is get FH to produce the pages, th...

Thanks for your comments. I think that using a plugin to amend the html files to php and adding php code will be the answer. My only problem is understanding LUA and being able to build a plugin that does this. I am happy to have a go but my web design brain may not be able to cope with the big diff...

Thank you for your help. I was hoping that as i have over 4000 html pages produced i could use FH to produce .php files not .html files and also be able to insert code before the html header. **V5.0.7** for Family Historian
I should point out that I never knew there was a 5.0.4 update. I have just received an FHUG newsletter recommending that I upgrade to 5.0.5 Do I need to upgrade to 5.0.4 first? I cannot find a version of 5.0.4 to download. There is no guidance I can find to explain whether 5.0.4 has been withdrawn a...

Thanks for your ideas. However, I do not wish to produce a report. I use the create a website option to load my information onto my website. Engagements
If you apply an engagement to an individual there needs to be a spouse to select. If they never marry it still calls the other half a wife when you produce a website and shows them as such. I want to show an engagement but do not wish to show the female party as a spouse or show her on the web pages...
