New member.... Half English, half Dutch, help,
Another place to try is the Ancestry.co.uk web site. They have a number of Dutch collections, although most are actually in dutch, so if you don't speak the languauge you may have trouble understanding them.

Hi Tuthmosis, Not sure what you are actualy querying here ? FHUG is a user support group run by the excellent Jane [grin] to enable users of the Family Historian (FH) Software to help each other. FHUG it self does not contain any records to help you with tracing your ancestors. Now, if you are real ...

Convert a report file (not FH)
Hi David,
If you are not in an immediate hurry, and dont mind sending me the file i might be able to knock something up that can reformat the report into a GEDCOM file for you.

Hi Roger, It's very easy, just go to the records list and select both people (using the shift key). Then in the 'Edit' menu select the 'Merge/Compare records' option, this brings up a dialog box on which you can confirm you have the correct people, then select OK. You then get the 'Merge File' windo...

Gedcom Census - 1911 (and others) - Suggestions
Hi Nick, I would agree with most of the other comments. 1) use the physical description attribute, with approriate date/source 2) use the note field 3) yes 4) use the note field 5) do the same as the DoB to cal the date if no marriage present on the couple selected. 6) I like the idea of a custom at...

GedcomCensus Multimedia
Hi Marilyn, The census images are not connected to the person as such, they are linked to the census 'source' record. The only other way to what you have found is to display the 'multimedia' tab, and then view the images directly from there. if you don't have this tab displayed, goto the 'View' Menu...

URL as source citation
Hi, You don't normally record the source as the web site, you do that as part of a 'repository'. The repository describes the location and the source describes the records themselves. An example would be that you have a source of a parish records transcription, and the repository give the location a...

Hi Tim,
One of the hints they oftern give over on RootsChat is to try looking at when the photographic studio was in business as you know the name. That will normally give you a good Range, and if you are really luck some were only in business for a year or two [cool]

Editing a family tree CD
Hi Roy, Rather than using the 'Preview CD', have you just tried using Internet Explorer (or your chosen web browser) to directly access the web page from the 'CD' ? It is also possible that when you edit the web page it is being saved back to a different location to the actual 'CD', so the preview C...

Hi Rupert,
As you have most up to date versions, i don't know what else to suggest other than to contact the support team for parallels, as something is obviously not quite right.
Sorry

Hi rclrocco,
Which version of parallels & OS X are you using ? Also are you running anything else in the background ? I having been running Vista in parallels, and then running other Mac applications including photoshop (which is very resource hungry) with no problems.
