Nicknames, etc
I have some people in various trees who were known by names other than their christened ones. eg 'Molly' for 'Mary'. I have put these names into the Alternate Name box, and this shows up on the Diagram Box as a.k.a. It does not, however, show up in the Focuw Window name box. Am I overlooking somethi...

Ancestral Sources v1.0
Great!! Wish I had this a few years ago. Nothing worse than going to add census details only to find 1 or 2 more children.
Back to FH, add in kids, bcack to Gedcom Census, etc.
Now it's all done at once.
Excellent

I just revisited this to find heaps of ideas and help. Thanks for all your assistance, particularly with the Query which is working wonderfully.

Thanks Guys
As you say, change it once and it appears to remain changed.
I will just have to go through the different ones I use.
Cheers

Reports- Fonts
Is it possible to change Report fonts so that whenever I start a new one it appears in Arial (which I prefer to the default Times New Roman). I know that I can change individual Reports, but really wish to change the default.
Any ideas?

I have 4.02, but between 'fairly easy' (query)and 'doing' is quite a gulf in my computering skill.
Chris's suggestion appears to be resolving the basic problem.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Can I list the citations against a specific Source? It is probably in FH but I don't appear to be able to find it.
Thanks

Missing Reports
I'm using Windows XP and I upgraded with a CD It doesn't really worry me. Just thought it may have been solved with the 4.0.2 upgrade. I don't think these reports were available in V3 If I reinstall i guess I will have to go back to installing V3 and then the V4 upgrade I may just soldier on Thanks ...

I have 3 Projects in my Family stuff, but only 2 of them show up in the Project Window. They were all created in exactly the same way from V3, and all the folders and files appear to be similar in Explorer. Is this something I am doing wrong? I have gone back and slavishly followed Jane's examples w...

Diagram zoom in znd out
For some inexplicable reason, when I use the + or - to resize a diagram page, it goes 50%, 100% then 500%. I am sure that there used to be a gradual increase/decrease but cannot find anything under the Diagram Menus. Can anyone please help?

V4 confusion
Thanks gents
I have had my V3.1 for some time so will wait for the CD - I prefer the CDs to downloads as I know they are sitting in my cupboard for future use if my PC or hard drive goes 'belly up'. This has happened on a couple of occasions.
Thanks agaon

V4 confusion
I have just been reading the posts about 'free' upgrades from V3.1 to V4. Is this factual? I was under the impression that it had to be purchased, either as a download or a CD and I am presently waiting for Goulds in Australia to receive CD's so that I can go ahead. Is a free full download available...

need help with diagram and multiple spouses
If you select the woman in the Records page, then hit the descendants icon, it should show her with a husband on each side and their respective children. I have an ancestress who married 3 times and the respective families all show on the diagram.

Thought I had sent this earlier. I have an ancestor born and christened Leslie Horace. He had a very close cousin callde Leslie Desmond.
