Custom Tree Splitter
Peter - I'm not so sure about that. FH should, I think, remove unused family records automatically when you reopen the file.

Custom Tree Splitter
There is a wish-list item asking for a tree-split based upon the individuals shown on a diagram. I support the wish, but there is a workaround to achieve the same thing. Here's how: Press File, then Save As
Like all tree splitting, the safe approach is to make a copy of your file under a new name. ...

Legend for diagram icons
Thanks for the suggestion, Jane. That is certainly do-able, but I'd still like to see a standard solution within the package.

Legend for diagram icons
I really like adding 'B&B'-type icons to my diagrams. The meaning of many are obvious, but not all. Accordingly, it would be useful to be able to add a legend either to a diagram or to be printed as a separate report. A prerequiste would be the ability to add a description against each flag that ...

Undelete (delete last action)
This is already a reasonably well-supported item on the wishlist (Undo/Redo under the General category).

Gedcom Census 5.1
GEDCOM Census is a terrific utility that I am glad to use - thanks Nick. However, wouldn't it be fantastic if this functionality were available directly in Family Historian. I guess that this is what was meant in the wish-list item 'formal data entry'. If Family Historian had entry forms for censuse...

I'd be glad to check the new version - I still have hundreds of census entries to complete.

Gedcom Census - bug?
Every time I enter a particular 1841 census entry I get a Run-time error 9. I have succesfully entered other census information before and afterwards. I have re-booted my PC and still get the same error. The error happens just after pressing 'auto-type'. Here's a screenshot. Any help from Nick wo...

Pedigree charts (Version 3 does not fully implemen
YEs, that's possible, but I don't really want to add lots of dummy entries to my GEDCOM.

Pedigree charts (Version 3 does not fully implemen
I would like to see a real pedigree chart. This differs from what is available in Version 3 in that each direct ancester has a box even if the identity of the direct ancestor is not known. These empty boxes readily show where more work is required.

Second or third spouses in proxy boxes text scheme
Thanks for the suggestion, Jane, but I've tried %FAM.WIFE% and is gives exactly the same result (ie picks up the details of the first wife even though the name of the second wife is displayed).
Any other thoughts?
Thanks............Robin

Second or third spouses in proxy boxes text scheme
For the 'Proxy' box I have the following text scheme: %INDI.NAME:FULL% {picture} =LifeDates(%INDI%) {if male & no spouses & duplicates} m. %FAM.WIFE>NAME:FULL% (%FAM.MARR.DATE:YEAR%) {if male & no spouses & duplicates} =LifeDates(%INDI.~SPOU>%) {if female & no spouses & duplicates} m. %FAM.HUSB>NAME...

I prefer the text size of the original themes. Colour and clarity are OK.
