Subgroups in sources list
I have searched the forum and the program and as far as I can tell this has not been addressed in the past. (please correct me if I am wrong!) I have one source record for every document I have e.g. census page, BMD certificate, letter, book etc), and I now have approaching 2000 entries. Would it be...

Upgrade confusion
Hi, I started with v2.3, then purchased the v3 upgrade on CD. Having had a look at Calico Pie's website and S&N Genealogy Supplies I am now completely confused as to what to do to upgrade to v4. S&N state that the v4 upgrade only works with the FULL v3, but I have an upgrade to v3. Calico Pie state ...

1911 Census
Hi, I don't look on this forum very often, but thought I would throw a few 'wild cards' into the debate on cost, which I don't think at the moment is too expensive (although I reserve the right to wait until it gets cheaper until I look at any images!) Firstly, we are getting this data a couple of y...

Name Syntax for Additional Fields
Oops, sorry, I completely missed that [oops]
I looked in events, and I didn't see it. Reading all those census images has sent my eyesight wonky [confused]
Ignore my request [nonsense]

Name Syntax for Additional Fields
I was looking for the 'Census' fields created by Gedcom. I found them in the end, but with a lot of trial and error, and browsing through several of the queries in the query store. Would have been much easier just to right click on the field in the record window and see its path.

Name Syntax for Additional Fields
It would be helpful to be able to obtain the correct naming syntax for additional fields not shown in the Fields panel of the query editor, maybe by right clicking on the field name in the records window.

Brothers marrying sisters
Hi,
2 of my aunts married brothers. I have created records for the brother's parents, but they do not show on the diagram. Is there any way to show their relationship?

Thanks for the prompt response. I will use the 'hide' method for now.

Family showing twice on diagram
Hi, I am a new user of FH, and have come across a problem with the diagram. My wife's great-grandfather was born illigitimately (no father recorded on the birth cert). His mother subsequently married, and her husband adopted him. He then married, had 8 children, his wife died and he re-married and h...
