Re: GEDCOM Exporting Data Does Not Contain Data Just Imported
If you want everything in an FH GEDCOM file to be available for Import to something else, you don't need to do an Export at all. Just Import the FH GEDCOM file.

Yes, of course, Mike. As you know, it was 99% Jane's original Clean Living People. Probably best if you do the necessary tidying up.

I (still on Windows 7) also have a problem with UTF-8 so I cannot see how “this will be correctly processed by this programme” can be true.

Use the Export Gedcom File plugin to make a utf-8 gedcom file, this will be...

Re: Ancestry DNA tests
Have you thought of using Named Lists? You could have a Named List for each of your Groups, and add relevant records to it; the records in a Named List can be a mixture of Individual, Family, Note, Source, etc. One advantage of this approach is that any record can be in more than one Named List.

If you are using a Fact Query you will need the following formula for the RecordId of the Fact's Owner.
Code: Select all
=RecordId(GetRecord(%FACT%))- 23 Jan 2019 09:24

I found that I could navigate that over-long string of black boxes, but only by using the keyboard down and right arrow keys. I think I counted 32 items, which suggests the need for a more hierarchical menu structure.

The first item on the Tools menu is How Related…. First you need to select any two individuals in the Records window. Keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+R.

Re: Query for lost persons
A possible solution requires two queries. First run a Fact query, for all facts, with the Fact-Owner (e.g. =GetRecord() ) as the only column, and select all rows in the result set and Add Selected Cell Records to Named List… . Then use an Individual query with row conditions to Add Unless… in this N...

Re: Date Entry and Scroll Bar fixes
Top , Bottom , Left Edge , and Right Edge all work as they should in my Excel 2010 (Version 14.0.7224.5000 32-bit) on Windows 7 , but not in FH . However, Scroll Here does work in FH , which provides a sort of workaround if you right-click near the top/bottom/left/right edge of the light grey scrol...

Back in 2012 I wrote a little Plugin Notes List for Individual which I keep in my Tools menu. It shows all the Notes (Local and Record) linked directly or indirectly to an Individual. It also shows the relevant Data-Reference for each, albeit without the Index.

Strictly speaking an aunt has to be a sister of one of your parents, and an uncle has to be a brother of one of your parents. The FH terminology is strictly correct, although different from everyday usage.

Re: Associated People
Retrieving the list of associates would be easy if they were all linked to the same Source; this would also have the advantage that the Source (or another record linked to it) would explain the connection between them. Otherwise, you would have to enter the Associated-Person link twice, once in each...
