Re: Custom queries - Tuition needed

Code: Select all

%INDI.~SPOU[1]>NATI[1]%
which worked perfectly.
The absence of MARRiage information per se would not matter.

Re: Dates Gedcom 5.5

The GEDCOM Standard does not support quarter dates per se and an FH GEDCOM file stores a date such as Q1 1899 as follows:
n DATE BET JAN 1899 AND MAR 1899.

Re: creating a file for Ancestry with no facts for living individuals

A good text editor, which I use for all sorts of applications including GEDCOM and LUA files is PSPad.
See Knowledge Base > Utility ~ PSPad Editor.

Re: Named lists window?

And a Named List can contain Family and Source records, as well as Individual records; Flags can only be on Individual records. It is possible to expand the Named List pane and effectively hide the main Records window pane, and to define additional Columns for the Named List pane. This provides quit...

Re: Showing ancestor ages in Focus Window

If you know a person has died, you can (and perhaps should?) add a Death event, without any details such as Date, Place, Source if those details are unknown. Then FH won't calculate an Age as if the person is still alive.

Yes, and a tick in the box does not imply selected. Multiple records can be selected as usual by using shift or ctrl plus enter.
