Re: Can Fact Definition Auto-Create Note create a multi-line note?
I just copied what you wanted from your post above into the Auto-Create Note field and it worked OK with one item on each line in the Note when I added the relevant fact to an individual.

Re: TMG UK Census Fact Definition
I never use Family Census events, i.e. GEDCOM tag CENS subordinate to tag FAM , for the following reasons. Such a census event may be interpreted as applying to 0 or 1 HUSB Individual records, plus 0 or 1 WIFE Individual records, plus 0 or many CHIL Individual records, all linked to the FAM record. ...

Re: Override Template for Facts tab Listings for Marriage
I find that e.g. MARRIAGE - {%CUR_PRIN2%} - {place} gives: MARRIAGE - Fred BLOGGS - England, … St Bartholomew CE to Annie HORRIDGE It is as if FH always adds to {%CUR_PRIN%} at the end of the specified template; this seems the wrong way round since FH Help has "Other or second principal (i.e. equiva...

Re: Multiple Names
In FH you can use the All tab of the Property Box or the Records Window to add as many names as you like, and each Name can have a link to a Source and a link to a Note.

Re: Exporting to Gedsite format problem
The following (edited) extract from my FH GEDCOM file illustrates that it is perfectly possible to record a Marriage event when neither date nor place of the marriage is known, and without inventing an approximate date: 0 @F150@ FAM 1 MARR Y 1 HUSB @I161@ 1 WIFE @I164@ 0 @F151@ FAM 1 MARR 2 DATE BET...

Re: Exporting to Gedsite format problem
Just add a Marriage Event to the relevant Family Record in FH. This will appear in the GEDCOM file as 1 MARR Y.

I have the same result as John when using Print… rather than Save Report as… with the filename defaulting to project name rather than the desired report name.

Yes, it is the use of the Print... button on the report window that causes the problem.

Yes, since all the names are in any case bold, it would be clearer if you change the wording as you suggest above.

The new version seems to work very well, but the pop-up says "Click on bold Name to select them ..." while what I see is not bold but underlined with a shaded background.

Re: Facts with no Source/Citation
A simple Fact query should do the trick with a Row Filter: Add if %FACT.SOUR% is null
and Columns: %FACT% and =GetRecord()

Re: Modifying the sentence field produces inconsistent results in reports
Surely all nine Record Detail Reports are intended merely to show the values in all of the fields for each record of the particular type. This would naturally include whatever has been input by the user into the Sentence field.

Re: Quick Child/Family Snapshot
These two examples have multiple spouses for the Father, with two the same colour (black). Thus the colour does not show which (black-coloured) spouse is the mother of the Root's (black-coloured) half-sibling(s). In one case the marriage and birth dates obviously help. If it is difficult to use more...

Re: Quick Child/Family Snapshot
Thanks for latest version, Mike. It would be even better if the colour black (which is used for spouses in most panes) could be avoided for half-siblings, as illustrated.

Yes, I agree, this is much better. Many thanks, Mike.
[Edit] It would be even better if the relative pane sizes were re-adjusted when switching from No BMD Events to either Brief BMD Events or Full BMD Events, or perhaps for any change of this option.

Re: Quick Child/Family Snapshot
These two screenshots illustrate the point I was trying to make, each with 5 scroll-bars with the window fully expanded. I reckon that if the top four boxes were all about 50% bigger, there would only need to be one or two scroll-bars, i.e. for the two lower boxes, only. [Edit] Another thought: perh...

Re: Quick Child/Family Snapshot
I prefer to have all six headings the same, and preferably underlined.
I would also prefer it if the lower two panes had a slightly smaller share of the window. In several cases, all four of the top panes need scroll bars, while the bottom panes need only one at most.

Re: Quick Child/Family Snapshot
Thanks for all this, Mike. I much prefer just underline for the Root ; I find italics slightly less legible, and the underline is much easier to spot amongst a long list of siblings. I also much refer the Root to appear in the same colour as his or her Parents ; that way the Root has the same colour...
