Re: Relation Pool Number: Caution
Also, in general the largest pool is normally assigned number 1 so any change in relative sizes of the largest few pools may result in them all being renumbered. I believe the first 'tree' you build in that project is assigned Pool #1. My Pool 1 has 42 indi's ; Pool 2 has over 2000; Pool 3 about 15...

Re: Strange behaviour using ORA with Family Historian v7
OK, as per Mike Tate's suggestion, try taking out the extra space between the {tab} {tab}{tab} after the district entry. Change: [Registration Month]/[Death year]{TAB}{TAB}[District] {TAB} {TAB}{TAB}born: [Birth day]/[Birth month]/[Birth year] to [Registration Month]/[Death year]{TAB*2}[District] {T...

Re: Strange behaviour using ORA with Family Historian v7
jclifford I don't have a sub with FMP to be able to test your template, but, the default Facts tab page for a completely 'new' person does not show any Died entry, as per your first screenshot. Therefore you must be manually entering something in the Death fields under the Main tab, or on the Facts ...

DNA tracing Ancestry and FH
DNA tracking. I am trying to get my head around some of the mechanisms of DNA, and my aging brain is playing tricks on me. I have this scenario to which I am working. Is my logic correct? My late 93 year old uncle had his autosomal DNA tests done via Ancestry, and I have management rights on the min...

That's BRILLIANT, thanks Jane.
Adding iup.SetGlobal("CUSTOMQUITMESSAGE","YES"); has solved the run! Now just to tidy up and comment some of the code so I know what I did when I look at it again....old age memory problem!

Re: Using a named list to add a fact to each indi in the list
Update: I have managed to build my plugin to do exactly what I want, based on the logic that Jane supplied in her attachment she posted. In the process, I have become quite familiar with some of the peculiarities of lua (being a previous programmer in Assembler, Cobol, Basic, C and Php). However, I ...

Re: Using a named list to add a fact to each indi in the list
Thanks for the ideas, Jane. I will have a look at the code you suggest and experiment with getting subsets of it working for me. About 80% of the settlers tree are all in one pool, due to the inter-marriages that took place, and others scattered in separate pools, so I am looking at that, and also a...

Re: Using a named list to add a fact to each indi in the list
Update. I have my first plugin to work, thanks for the help Mike, but, ..there is always a but...I am going to have to rethink my process! With 180,000 individuals in the gedcom, 100,000 already known as descendants of the 2900 settlers, leaves me with about 77,000 others to check. Running the scrip...

Re: Using a named list to add a fact to each indi in the list
Thanks Mike for the tips on the process, which I have built in the attached script, but I have become stuck on how to loop through the built table. Building the Settler table works and produces the correct number of Settlers (2922) who would potentially be all the progenitors. Now I can loop through...

Using a named list to add a fact to each indi in the list
This is a plea for Help! Is there, or has anyone developed a plugin, that will loop through a named list and add an existing fact for each individual in that list? I am using v7, and have tried to build a plugin without any success at all! Cannot get my brain around the coding of lua plugins! Curren...

Re: v7.0.7 and Notice Board
Yep, that fixed it! It still surprises me how many setting flags, etc that there are that I have not even explored in all my time of using FH. Never thought to look there, as I had not used the Web Search feature at all before, probably because it failed using IE.
Thanks

Re: v7.0.7 and Notice Board
Jane, I did not expect to see any property box shown at all, as the Internet-> Open Web Search Window was the first and only thing I did. I know I have not selected any Individual record, so I did not expect to have to turn it off . One would have thought that Open Web Search Window as an initial ac...

v7.0.7 and Notice Board
Does anyone else get this result? I started up FH, selected my project to open, then clicked Internet, Open Web Search Window.
I normally operate with FH in the right hand half of my screen, and other apps/browser in left hand half.
I have logged it as a call #690546.

Show Project Statistics v2.5 on V7 failed to complete
@Mike, Tried the Show Project Statistics plugin this morning after downloading and installing. Did not change any options, just clicked Run. It got to 77% after 7 minutes, and then it did not progress any further over then next 25 minutes, so had to 'kill' FH via Task manager. ShowProjectStats2.5.jp...

I am not a user or expert on Wordpress, but it should be quite simple to do. As an update to my previous post on corruption in saved charts, I have been notified by Calico Pie that the bug has been resolved and the fix will be included in the next point release, probably 7.0.4. No date yet on the availability, but should be soon.

Re: Narrative Report - Highlight Mentioned Records tickbox
colevallygirl, you must be working on a different version of FH than I am. I'm on 7.0.3 If I select Publish -> Narrative reports -> Descendants by Generation, select C W S Munro as the head person, then click OK, I get a report. Now I click Save Report As and select pdf file - no links. Save Report ...
