Unconnected Names
Harriet Carter Rogers (born Clarborough, 1860) married into my wife's family in 1879. So far I just have IGI information for her Rogers ancestors (3 generations only). If you can find time from analysing your 100's of Rogers sources to see if my names fit anywhere it would be much appreciated. Pleas...

Polish descent
Two very good web sites to start from for Polish genealogy are PolishRoots (http://www.polishroots.org) and Polish Genealogy Links (http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Haven/1538/Polishpg.html). Look at http://www.polishroots.org/genpoland/certif.htm to see how to order a certificate. You will ne...

Birth records
I assume it is their births that you cannot find. One possibility is that you are searching for the wrong birth surname. Do you have evidence for the date of their parents' marriage?

Nick, Just for the record, I agree with everything you wrote. That's because you seem to have misunderstood what I wrote ... or putting it another way, perhaps I didn't make myself clear. When I wrote 'issues arising from anyone updating earlier versions' I did not mean replacing a later version by ...

Bug in the forum software?
I wonder if there is a bug in the software that runs the FHUG forums. I ask the question because it has taken me three attempts to post a reply to an existing topic (Toponymy). On the first two attempts, my reply completely disappeared when I clicked Edit from Preview. After each disappearance I not...

I use XP Pro SP2 on a Pentium 4, 3GHz with 1MB RAM. I have installed Toponymy successfully as setup.exe only wanted to install two system files - tabctl32.ocx and mscomctl.ocx each of which pre-dated what was already present and so could be skipped. These two files are VB ActiveX control files. ...

I assume you didn't need me as a beta tester as I've received nothing ... which is quite OK but I'm now wondering if you did actually send something but it never arrived.... nice to know someone's using it.

Save parameters for web site creation
Yes, I also found this very tedious, as I too alternate between generating two websites. Then I realised that I could use 'Make a Family Tree CD' to generate the second one, as the parameters for this option are saved separately from 'Create a Website'. Obviously, tedium is unavoidable with three or...

Source images in Family Tree CD
When using 'Make a Family Tree CD' is it possible to build in links from source citations to source pictures for those sources that have a picture object? So far I have only managed to get source pictures onto the CD by doing the following on the Sources tab of the subsequent 'Report Options' dialog...

The response from Ancestry Support is as follows. 'We are currently addressing the issues you are experiencing. The inconvenience is a temporary situation and hopefully will be corrected shortly.'

Jane,
I am a subscribing UK member, so, given that immigration records are supposedly free during November to such members, my question remains.

Having got an interesting hit on the Canadian Immigrant Records it is rather frustrating to read 'an e-mail link is provided at the bottom of each results page for those who would like to purchase a more detailed electronic transcript for a particular entry'. I see no e-mail link. Does anyone else?
