Pictures missing when outputting report to web

Current thoughts are that it is indeed memory related. I have agreed to check memory usage at runtime and test a lower memory version at some point.

However, memory related problems do not tend to affect the same data every time !

Pictures missing when outputting report to web

I am the ISP, I run my own servers.

It appears there are demonstrable software issues. The order of reports in the TOC has an effect and in addition to missing photos, I see some photos despite the private flag.

Calico now has my data and is investigating.

More problems with printing and PDFs

As suggested I have emailed a sample PDF and referred to my two postings regarding publishing issues with both charts and photos.

Regards.

Pictures missing when outputting report to web

With all Internet privacy options switched off the same still happens.

As mentioned, I actually get some people where not all pics are shown (one pic is and the other is not) so discounted this.

How do others publish all pics ?

And with reference to my other posting how do others publish diagrams ?

More problems with printing and PDFs

Thanks. As mentioned, I am using pre-release 4.1.1 and its not resolved. JPG and PNG file sizes cam out considerably bigger than PDF and were not as functional. I recognise that using other software is an option but I'd prefer if the simplistic web stuff in this software worked! I appreciate your th...

Pictures missing when outputting report to web

I want to publish a photo library on the web as part of my web site. I have included the add-on report 'Individual Multimedia Report'. 173 people are selected to this report using a custom query that identifies people having multimedia. All people show and it mostly works however sometimes people ha...

More problems with printing and PDFs

This problem is very frustrating... ...getting chart output from this software for use on the web is inadequate as far as I can see. I can only output text based reports to the web...not charts, unless I allow download of pre-prepared PDF files. And PDF files are unacceptable because vertical lines ...

Use of flags to hide in Diagrams

Thanks for clarifying Jane's point for me Peter - new user here! As you both mentioned, text and boxes can be made invisible but this does not result in a good presentation - closed branches is the way I suspect but based on automatically on a flag...solution 1 (mark on query then close) is still th...

Use of flags to hide in Diagrams

PeterR - thanks

I considered this but of course we want the boxes and space reclaimed.

For Living (flag) individuals I hide certain text in boxes on a condition...

Use of flags to hide in Diagrams

Jane, thanks...

...I guess by text scheme you mean report. As mentioned I see no report that shows both ancestors and descendants (both up and down in the hierarchy).

Did I miss your point?

Use of flags to hide in Diagrams

Interesting...I am aware that there is other and much better software than FH out there for web publication purposes and will have to investigate this free one... ...one I found appeared excellent but requires MySQL database - my server uses MS SQL and I do not want to compromise things by adding mo...

Use of flags to hide in Diagrams

In fact I just tested...I saved a chart for the youngest relative's ancestors. I added a child for her and then opened the saved chart. The new relative is recognised but was not expanded...I just see an expansion button. ...even if I could figure how to expand all...this would defeat the object as ...

Yes but I understand Saved Charts will not change when I add new relatives to the database...I need a Custom Diagram or easy option to hide flagged.

Web Page file names

Yes I seem to be wrong and there is another cause. It does indeed seem that FAM and IND pages are numbered consistently. Looking at Google I even have some apparently missing pages...when I examine the Google cache I see the problem...I used to publish IND records only and now publish the default of...

Use of flags to hide in Diagrams

Thanks...yes that might well help me select them automatically rather than individually. However, I'd still have to do this every time I display/print or save the Chart which would then not change with updates... I'm hoping there is something more elegant or intuitive for such a simple requirement. ...

Web Page file names

It appears that web page file names are numbered sequentially. This means that a change in my data results in the page name changing next time the web is generated. This causes havoc for search engines. One minute John Smith is an page http://bla.com/ind447.html and after a relatively minor change h...

Use of flags to hide in Diagrams

I use the Living and Private flags to hide some or all data from web pages. This can also be done in reports. However, I cannot find a way to exclude relatives/branches from a tree based on the private flag. I am hiding certain text based on Living but how do I hide people completely as reports and ...
