OK, will do Mike.
As I mentioned before, I still get errors, so I will not change those entries.
Interesting aside, I just checked the Lat/Lon of the 3 entries we began with, and it is just over a mile from Enville Street in Stourbridge.

Re: Place Exceptions plugin error
What exactly do you correct to be consistent? My analysis so far suggests the problem is where 3 or more similar Place names have exactly the same Lat/Longitude. i.e. There is 0 distance between all the plots. The distance between plots calculation involves complex maths to determine the great circ...

Re: Place Exceptions plugin error
Thanks Mike,
If I correct those 3 places to be consistent with other 'Places' and re-run the plugin, I then get a whole bunch more erroring.
Interestingly, all in Bromsgrove as before, so again, all from the data sent to me for my wife's paternal grandmothers line

Marriage Template Question
Hi all/Nick I am trying to adapt the 1837 Rich Text English Template to make one for a Roman Catholic marriage in Ireland. The Register entry at the top reads: 1878 Marriage solemnized at the Roman Catholic Chapel of Cahir in the Registrar's District of Cahir in the Union of Clogheen in the County o...

Re: FH PDF Printer Dialogue Box opening Position
The FH PDF printer is really just a leftover from the early days of FH when Windows didn't include a native PDF printer. Just use the Microsoft PDF printer instead - it's just as capable, and better behaved. MS applications 'tend' to remember where you left them, EG on which particular screen if yo...

Re: Testing Ancestral Sources v7.6.6
Thanks Neil - I've now released v7.6.6 that should fix this. I'd forgotten I did a lot of tidying up of some lazy coding, but this seems to have had unintended knock-on effects so I've put the lazy coding back! :) Please report in this thread any issues you spot or email me (nick at ancestralsource...

Re: Testing Ancestral Sources v7.6.5
Just to add, I re-installed 7.6.5 'over the top' and this was repeatable.
I uninstalled 7.6.5 and installed 7.6.4 and the Baptism 'save' then worked OK

Re: Testing Ancestral Sources v7.6.5
First use of this version, entering a Baptism record I got this error box when saving to FH, and the continue button fails to commit the baptism to FH.
Error info removed by Nick. Details noted thank you

Re: Uploading media
The reason I'm asking Mike, is that FH doesn't do that. I have just experimented. FH 7.0.18 remembered the last place I used. I clicked on the Media Tab, then 'Add Media>Insert from File...' which opened in a random folder in the project for some reason. I navigated to Downloads and inser...

Re: 1921 England Census Military template
I'd like to think that no one would create a template that overwrites an existing one without warning. I don't particularly want to spend hours of my own personal time implementing changes that are very obscure and haven't come up before in the last 13 years and are easily resolved. That's fair eno...

Re: 1921 England Census Military template
Nick - Should there be a warning if we are apparently going to overwrite the default template? I don't think it's a particularly major issue as it is so easy to reset it again. Yes and no, as the OP hadn't warned about it overwriting in his post, I certainly didn't realise until I went to try and f...

Re: not given option to save image to media folder
Since I updated AS last week I realised that all my saved images were using links to the download folder instead of into the Project Media Folder. I can't work out how or where to change the setting so it automatically saves to the Media folder I think you've possibly ticked the 'Remember my respon...

Re: 1921 England Census Military template
Ideally, Valkrider who posted it should explain. The problem is that line 3 of that XML file is <Entry RecordType="Census" Country="England" Year="1921"> So it overwrites the Census for England in 1921. Presumably, the item Country="England" should be Country="England Military" Yes Mike, I've edite...

Re: Saving marker sets for maps
So I created a support ticket that went like this: Neil: I have the latest version of FH, v7.017.1 and just starting to explore mapping. I tried creating a map set using Add Marker Set... from 'Set Tasks' I gave it a name, and used a query to add a set of people. The named set is in the toggle list ...
