Recording address and army enrolment
I see the address field as noted in replies, but I took this to be the address of the event, for example the address where the baptism took place. Some instances of baptisms I've recently found note the address of the family, so I want to record that separately. Hence, I was looking for a separate '...

Recording address and army enrolment
Hi
I want to add a fact about my grandfathers address at the time of his baptism/birth, and also when he enlisted for the Army in WW1
There are no 'facts' of this sort such as 'Address' or 'Enlist', so how do others do this in FH5?
Cheers for suggestions

Civil Partnership
I have my first Civil Partnership to record, and wondered how it is done.
I noted that this thread Civil Partnership (6527) way back in 2008 for V3.
Did it get added/resolved?

How do you do this?
Hi
I have a scenario, that I wondered how others tackle.
Paul Jones, marries Sue Smith
She wishes to go by the name Sue Smith-Jones, and they also name their children Smith-Jones.
How/where do you do this in FH5?
Thanks

Recording twins
Thank you for the replies. I've no idea yet how to apply expressions to diagrams, but I will find out. So, I have created a 'Flag' called 'Twins' and applied it to the children of my second cousin. What would be nice, is to somehow see Flags that are applied to an individual (even the 'Living' one!)...

Other than the fact that 2 children have the same birth date recorded, how do you denote that they are in fact twins, or triplets etc.
Thanks for your thoughts

FH 5.0 not updating via ';Check for updatesqu
...and a GA is?
Doesn't really make sense to me that Release Candidate fixes are not flagging from the program Check update routine.
It's not what I am used to with other programs, and especially Genealogy programs like TMG and Legacy that tell you about all updates.

FH 5.0 not updating via ';Check for updatesqu
Anyone else getting this problem?
I've been regulary checking for updates via the Help>Check for updates... option in 5.0 and it always tells me that it's the latest version
It wasn't until I came here randomly, that I find there are now 6 updates available!

Upgraded 3.1 error
See your point, but very unlikely.
I'd had AS 3.0 open before the upgrade, but it was closed when I did that upgrade.

Upgraded 3.1 error
...update....
That error only happened when I ran the program straight after the upgrade to 3.1
If I close AS, and re-start it, there is no error, so not sure if it was anything to be concerned about.

Start up with person last used
Ah OK Well in that case, I am used to opening other Genealogy programs (the main 3 I have used are MyHeritage Family Tree Builder, The Master Genealogist and Legacy) with the last person viewed/edited. This I find most useful as a reminder of who I was last working on. With Family Historian, if I le...

Opening FH5 on last viewed record?
OK - changing file root isn't a substitute for re-opening with the last person though.
Is there a method of requesting an enhancement to options, to have a toggle switch for this maybe?

Opening FH5 on last viewed record?
Hi In other products I've used, such as Legacy, and The Master Genealogist, when I close the application, the next time I re-start it, be it immediatley or the next day etc, it opens on the last viewed record/person FH doesn't seem to do that, and always opens on the default person (in my case that'...

License
Considering moving to FH5 after being impressed with the 30 day trial.
Are there any license limitations?
IE, with TMG and Legacy, I use them on a PC and laptop under the same license key.
Thanks
