Census Lists
If you click the Download link on this site, it will show you a list of files (including Queries) that users have uploaded to share with us. If you download one, you simply double-click on it to install it as a custom query (or diagram etc.) within your copy of FH. There are a number of census relat...

Family Historian on PDA
Family Historian does not run on a PDA. However, it is possible to access your family history data by using an alternative program. I use Pocket Genealogist on my PocketPC (HP iPAQ 2210). It is simple to convert your GEDCOM data file and upload to the PocketPC via the standard MS ActiveSync. You can...

Various wishes: please can I have.....!
I always link my document pictures to a source for that document (handy if the document refers to more than one person in the tree). This would eliminate the problem you report in point 2 (although it won't help if you have varying numbers of real photos!). On point 6, I usually just select a head ...

Married cousins diagram question
If you want this, why not vote for 'Improved method of handling 'repeated' family groups on Diagrams' on the Wish List - it only has 14 votes at present.

Cousins / Half-Siblings
I searched for 'half' in the wish list and came up with 'Ability to Show Step/Half Siblings on same line'. Is this what you are looking for?

duplicate certificates
You could try http://www.ukbdm.org.uk - there's a new URL but this finds it.
They offer a selection of certificate extracts to browse. You can publish the contents of certificates you want to keep as well if you wish.
They offer a month's free trial so probably worth a look.

Census
The following link lists which censuses are available on CD or online.
You will find they can be expensive if you need a range of counties! Some are just images with no index - very time consuming compared wih the LDS 1881.

Ancestors Narrative Report
I wanted to produce a report showing the ancestors, rather than decendents of a family member - to answer the 'Where did I come from?' question. I created a list of all his male ancestors (including the females just produced twice as many pages with no extra information). I then set the Decendents ...

Start up in Diagram Window
