Re: Wish List Item 526
Why do I get rebuked for that confirmation? Not a rebuke, just an expression of bafflement. Because there didn’t seem any point in repeating what had already been said. If your answer had come in first it wouldn’t have occurred to me to write my own reply saying exactly the same thing. :? (Helen sa...

Re: Individual Narrative Report
Is there a way to see the full template that is used for an individual? Click on the vertical bar at the extreme right of the sentence field, then select Edit Sentence. That will display the current sentence template for the individual. The sentence field has a white background if it has previously...

Re: Wish List Item 526
No, it still doesn't work properly. The Wish List item says: BUT when located and selected in the All tab, the associated field is NOT selected in the Sources For yellow pane. If there happens to be more than one Source Citation, then the 1st Citation always remains selected . (My italics.) This is ...

Re: Save Diagram As Custom Dialogue
Whatever is more practical. Perhaps the proposal should just say "FH should display a list of those which already exist ..." then CP can decide how to implement it.

Re: Save Diagram As Custom Dialogue
I think the original request comes down to this: Issues: When saving a new diagram as either a Custom Diagram Type or a Family Historian Chart the user is presented with a field in which to enter the name of the Diagram Type or Chart. If the name has already been used a warning message appears askin...

Re: Create Custom Diagram Box Presets
I think I must have missed this when it was first posted. Mark has added it to his “to be closed” list but I would like to add some support for the suggestion. The OP’s request arose because it is difficult to apply a new Boxes Scheme to a Saved Chart, because the box settings have to be laboriously...

Lorna, the screenshot very clearly says [Everyone Diagrm] at the top and the Navigation bar starts Ever... Ah, OK I was looking at it on a small screen before so didn't spot that. I can now see that on a larger screen. So the overlapping problem is caused by having inserted other types of diagram i...

I also don't understand your need to click the extension buttons as there are none in an Everyone Diagram . Mike, I'm pretty sure its NOT an Everyone diagram, for the reason you have mentioned - as you say, there are no expansion buttons in an Everyone Diagram. I think it's either an All Relatives ...

Re: more forgiving error range for ages
Sorry, I don't think that is possible. The Help file just says " If the age information is inconsistent with other information already held, Family Historian will add an exclamation mark in brackets after the displayed data (e.g. “22 (!)”). " There is no mention of expanding the tolerance. There is ...

Re: Citing Sources: Method 1 and Method 2 - comparison table tweaks
I'm not sure it's true to say that no-one makes the Method 1 v Method 2 decision any more..... I don't think anyone has said that. The point is that before v7 everyone had to make that decision themselves, for each generic source type. But new users now don't have to make those decisions if they si...

Re: Citing Sources: Method 1 and Method 2 - comparison table tweaks
I think one problem with the existing KB article on Method1/Splitting and Method 2/Lumping is that, as it says, the examples “are based on using ƒh6 or ƒh7 with Generic Sources, but the principles apply to all versions of ƒh and all kinds of Sources.” What it doesn’t say is that before V7, when all ...

Re: Citing Sources: Method 1 and Method 2 - comparison table tweaks
KFN: Judging by the what you have quoted, the Legacy community uses the terms “lumping” and “splitting” in exactly the same way as the FH community does. The difference is that it uses the term ”Master Source” where FH uses “Source record”. Are you suggesting that when the FH documentation introduce...

Re: How many sources have you created with Ancestral Sources?
2071 Census sources created by AS. I have a total of 4368 sources in my project.
(I only use AS for censuses. I developed my own workflow for dealing with other types of data back in the days when AS was 'Gedcom Census' and only handled census data!)

Re: Can I suppress icons?
You can create many different diagram types, some with and some without the icons. When you first added the icons did you just add them to one of the standard diagram types (e.g. Ancestors, Descendants, All Relatives etc)? If so, the first thing you should do is open one of those diagrams and use Di...

Re: Query and Plugin Result Sets
They sent me the same response. I had quoted the paragraph from the 7.0.9 release notes and asked if it was an oversight that it was not implemented for Query and Plugin Result sets (as the paragraph seems to suggest it would be) but they didn't comment on that. I suppose we should just re-open Wish...

Re: Query and Plugin Result Sets
I have now managed to find the reference to this in CP's release notes (v7.0.9) Previously you had to click on the text in the first column of many lists (e.g. record lists), to select that item. Now by default, you can click on any text in any column and the whole row displays as selected. Some lis...

The problem is that no.567 has been marked “Released in Version 7.0” so has, in effect, been closed.
