Maximum TextIf in series??
Thank you TateWise, it worked a treat. Jane, I ran the twelve name TextIf.... as a query and it worked fine. I shut down FH and re-started and all code was still there and it ran OK. The 'Twelne Name' TextIf... runs Ok in FH but disapears when FH is re-started plus I lost some other columns like ID ...

Maximum TextIf in series??
Hi, I have been programming a new column in 'Records View'. The code consists of TextIf(HasFlag(%INDI%,'Yeates Line'),'Yeates') but twelve times with different names. The problem is that any more than ten TextIf....etc and the column and code disappear when FH is restarted. (It is fine until re-star...

Query External File Links
Hi, I have had a look through the How To's and Knowledge base but can find no hint on how to Query the External File Links to check for Media wrongly addressed. I sometimes correct wrongly spelt/formatted media file names and forget to correct it with the 'Work with External File Links'. I there a Q...

Multimedia - Keywords
I cannot find how to undertake a 'find & Replace' or batch edit the Multimedia Keywords. It would appear that I have to go through every Multimedia record that requires the Keyword to be changed. If I edit one, that becomes a New Keyword and the old one will not disappear until there are no Multimed...

Hi, I have downloaded the 'Census' Tab modification for the Property Box written by 'annettelindahutton' - (see V4 Usage 16/10/10). It is in the form of PB-INDI that has to be copied to the Calico Pie folder in the Application Data Folder, but I am prety sure that will over write the modifications t...

Places - same number of levels for all?
Hi, A very interesting discussion and come at the right time as I am trying to go through the database and tidy things up after a couple of years learning to use FH (as compared to years using FTM) A query has arisen with places like Barrow-in-Furness Census. The Village is 'Barrow-in-Furness' The T...

When I do a backup, I expect to be backung up all of my data, we all massage how we want FH to look and work. No one should be expected to go to the registry to ge...

Un-install/Re-install Maintaining Licence
I am having to purchase a new Laptop.
I intend un-installing FH and then re-installing onto the new laptop.
I already have FH installed on the desktop PC,
how do Imake sure that Calico Pie do not think that I have exceeded my licence quanity of two installs.

Customise Focus Window
FH seems extremely flexible, every question I have asked has been fixed via adding code. Apart from the Focus Preferences window, is it possible to write some sort of code to add extra columns to the main focus window that shows Name, Sex, Birth, Death, Rel. There is so much spare space that I would...

Problem when FH moved to root directory
Hi Nick, I checked the manual and it actually shows my 'Phantom' Project Folder as you said it would. All I did in 'Work With External Files' was highlight all the directories and 'Remap Within Project Folder', selected Media as the root and everything moved over. The C: etc path disapeared from the...

Property Box Tab for Flags
Thanks, I didn't understand that I had to build my own panel of flags that would mimic the standard Flag box.
This also means that I copuld build any other data entry panel/tab that I fancy, can't think of anything yet.
Thanks again
John

Problem when FH moved to root directory
I am running XP with all the Service Packs etc. FH does not seem to like the 'Project Files' being re-sited away from 'My Documents'. I have moved the 'Project Files to the root of the C:. When ever I 'Add Multimedia' FH creates a'Phantom' Directory - see screen shot. http://www.fhug.rjt.org.uk/imag...

I would find it very useful to have an extra Tab on the Property Box to show the Flags selection box.
It would act as a reminder to set them when adding new people etc.
