CD Pictures and text help please
I love the pop up version of the pictures when you create a CD but I wonder is there any way of putting the pictures under the text on the CDs rather than on the right hand side. I see you can put them above and on the right, but there doesnt seem to be any provision to put them under the text. Am I...

How to create a list of places
I am planning to visit Devon in the next couple of months to do a bit of FH research mainly around graveyards and villages. Can someone tell me if there is a way of extracting information as a printed list from my V4 FH to tell me which people were living where and when in the various villages I pla...

Merging and source numbers etc.
No Tatewise that is exactly what I am doing. So my source numbering goes, for example, 0001 John Smith 1911 Census; 0002 John Smith 1901 Census; 0003 John Smith 1891 Census etc. and then I attach a copy of the Census to both the persons mentioned and to the Source number/description. I find that whe...

Hi all I am trying to avoid a problem arising later when I try to merge two trees. I have recently done a friends tree for her and now her husband has asked me to do his. I was just going to add his details to her tree and make it a joint tree, but the family want to be able to share their own trees...

FH CD not running on friends computer
I created a Family History CD for my friend with all her ancestors etc. It was created on Windows 7 but I also ran it through on my old Vista machine before giving it to her and it opened ok on that. However in both cases after clicking the blue FH icon Runstart.exe to run the disc I get a warning c...

Thanks for the replies. In the end, I just added it seperatly. Also as I dont know what system my friend is using on her computer this seemed the easiest option, but it would be nice if FH could have the facility to incorporate documents easily.

Many thanks Tatewise, that's sorted it
Could I just ask though, is there any way of linking PDF files direct to the individual in the CD. For example I have some military and pension records which relate to only one individual. Or is the only way to put it on seperately?
Thanks
Jackie

I am just creating my first CD. I think I have got the pages sorted alright, but what I want to know is how to make the images/sources readable. They are really small when they are linked automatically. I see that I can enter each picture of each Census etc individually and these seem to come up cle...

Where and how do people add general information and pictures about places your ancestors lived? Do you attach it to a Census reference or set up a seperate entry of some description?
I am struggling to see how best this is done on FH
Thanks for any tips
