I could do that - I have just tried, but it means searching on more than one database for any particular date. Oh well, so be it.
Thanks for your help, Jeremy

Jane - thanks for your interest. I have achieved the query with the column headings but I want to export the basic data from FH to a database programme I use called InfoSelect. I can then carry it with me on a PDA to Record centres etc and do a basic search to see if the data I find matches an entry...

Peter - thanks for that, but I am not sure that is the answer. Could you possibly type out exactly what is in the Column line and the Row line, just using born as an example. Very many thanks, Jeremy

Coincidentally - I tried to attach a PDF file as a multimedia object in place of the same JPG image, but FH does not seem to recognise it. Any ideas,

....except that it prints just the name and year dates birth/death, and ID. I expected it to print the extra columns shown in the list - how can I achieve this?

Sometimes you only know that an event, residence or occupation happened AT a point in time eg you know x was living at that address in 1854, but dont know whether they were there before or after. Later you may be able to add a period, but in the interim it would be useful to have a date range as 'A...

Thanks - that gets nearer, altho a bit hit and miss!
I like the facility to 'test' the changes, very good.
I am not sure what you mean by 'place qualifiers'
Thanks, Jeremy

I would like to see an option to have the boxes on a diagram all the same size, even if it means losing some data - is this possible?

When exiting, and asked if you wish to backup - could the directory offered be the one you last used for backup, and not just the last one you used.

If you first upgrade to Pedigree 2.6N, the output is GEDCOM 5.5 which FH has no problem with - I have already checked it as I want to do the same.

I would fully support the request by SallyL for the above (13 Dec 2003) - it is something I have been searching for before finally deciding on FH, altho it is pretty much decided!
