Re: Tutorial files
Thank you to both of you. I knew that the Getting Started wasn't there for V6 but hadn't realised that that applied to the tutorials as well.

Tutorial files
I cannot find the tutorial files. Are they missing from v6 or am I being inept?

Mending a link
I have been tidying up my main FH file and have discovered that the copy of a census that I recorded under Gedcom Census has a cross through it in the Media file. How do I resurrect the copy of the census, please?

Re: Moving from a Gedcom to a project
O.K. I am a clot. I've changed the location on my desktop to read the same as my netbook and, of course, it works.

My desktop gives:
My documents\Family Historian Projects
My netbook gives:
C\:Users\Jenny\Dropbox\Family Historian Projects
(I think I am going to feel such a fool!)

Moving from a Gedcom to a project
I had a break from my family history for a while and when I went back my main family history file did not show in the project box when I opened FH either on my desktop or my net book but was listed under Gedcom file tasks.. I use Dropbox for my backup and it is listed in the Family Historian Project...

Re: Copying FH v5 from my desktop to my netbook
Thanks.I'll try with a stick. The reason I asked was that I had the feeling that previously I had done something while showing thr 2 pc's on one screen but obviously I'm remembering something different.

Copying FH v5 from my desktop to my netbook
I have v5 on my desktop but v4 on my netbook and I want to upgrade FH on my netbook. I can't use the CD as I don't have a CD drive in my netbook. My OS is windows 7 and both pc's are on a network. My files are backed up to Dropbox. Is the only way to do this to copy the CD to a stick?

Re: Research Notes
Thank you. It was not my query but is just what I have been wanting. I used FTM for my course work last year, which I hated (FTM that is) except that you could put your research notes with the record of the individual. I had not realised I could do the same in FH.

As soon as I clicked the close button, the Set-up Wizard went to Finish so all seems to be well.

Re: Upgrading to 5.0.9
I am upgrading from v5 which upgrade I have loaded today. I am on Windows 7 64 bit. As far as I know I don't have any other pdf utility installed. BTW it is still running and won't allow me to end or cancel.

Upgrading to 5.0.9
I have downloaded 5.0.9 and the installation bar is totally green but the text is "Installing Family Historian PDF support. This may take several minutes." 25 minutes later this has not changed. Is this normal or should I cancel?

Re: Adding sources and citations
My apologies for not thanking you both earlier but my internet has been bouncing up and down like a yoyo. Mike - I had completely forgotten about the Baptism query. I had been engrossed with a course and put my own family history on one side. I shall now go away and practise on the Munro's following...

Re: Adding sources and citations
I am wanting to add the source and citation to the marriage record in Ancestral Sources so that the source and citation will appear in the source pane against all facts from the marriage record that are recorded in the individual property box.

Adding sources and citations
I would like the source for a marriage to read e.g.: Marriages. Scotland. With the citation e.g.: Kinghorn, Fife. 439/00. 12 March 1915. ADAMSON, Peter and BROWN, Catherine. GROS Data 439/00 0007. http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk : accessed 29 November 2013. But I can't work out how to do this. Can...

I am changing the way I enter sources putting all the information in the Sources Pane. However although I entered text in the Text From Source box this did not show when I accessed the source from the Individual record. What have I done wrong, please?

I used the tutorials before starting to use AS. I find 'seeing' rather than reading much easier to learn and understand, so thank you for creating them.

Where within the source not showing
Firstly , may I thank you both of you for such speedy replies. Secondly may I apologise for being woolly headed in my question. It relates solely to the 'where within the source' and I want to show the citation reference which one gets when using the Scottish Old Parochial Registers and that questio...

Where within the source not showing
I have entered a baptism record using AS but when I look at the facts tab there is no place within the source showing although I have checked that it is recorded. What have I missed, please?
