Re: Deleting a Fact Set
Thanks David, this has worked. I did notice that under the customize property box more tab tasks there was a delete option, could I use this instead of hiding it? Didn't want to try this in case something awful happened as I haven't backed up for a while!

Deleting a Fact Set
I've downloaded the Fact Set Military History for Property Box Tab and Wills and decided that I didn't need it after all. After following the instructions to delete the fact sets the tabs are still showing in the property boxes but a lot of the labels are missing, I'm just left with one or two that ...

Re: Sun Fire Insurance Records
Thanks to all who replied to my post. If a claim was made you can also find details of that, too. How would I get details of a claim? There are some Endorsement Books held at LMA MS12160/39 1787-1792 Is it these I should be looking at, and what could I expect to find in these records? Sun Fire Insur...

Sun Fire Insurance Records
Anyone ever looked at the above? I have an ancestor who appeared in these registers for the year 1790. When I looked at his record in the London Metropolitan Archives underneath was a note saying it was indorsed to one Thomas Bennett of Grays Inn Gent as Mortgagee of indenture. I don't know what thi...

Workhouse Admission & Discharge Registers
Just wondered what would be the best way to tackle the above? I would like to show this as a fact and attach the image as a source. My ancestor was admitted and discharged quite often so I have several scanned images with different dates. Thanks in advance, Jane.

Re: Should I Upgrade to v6? What Problems Might I Expect?
I was using FH version 4 up until recently, took the plunge and purchased the upgrade to Version 6 and I think for me, it has been well worth it. I find using the automatic source pane easier (after a little help from this forum!) and the search for individuals is brilliant. I had no problems instal...

Timeline facts
I have been happily putting on Death certificate sources over the past few days or so, and just wondered if it was the norm not to have any source citations attached to the timeline facts? I've been adding the sources and citations to the facts (white background) and by mistake I noticed I also had ...

I'm slowly getting to find my way around version six, but one thing puzzles me and that is when I see the fact 'marriage of Catherine Bloggs' in the property box of the father and I add a citation to it I don't get the asterisk next to the source record.
Thanks in advance

Re: Death Certificate as a Source
Thanks Mike, I see now where I was going wrong, I thought the yellow Source Title was a shortcut for adding a new source :D So to create a new source I would go to the add menu and select source or go to the records window tab and create from there. I can see how to create a new source from the yell...

Re: Where to record Monumental Inscriptions
Hi Lorna, The grave location is part of a custom fact set I downloaded from the forum. I like your idea of linking the photo to the death and burial fact. So I'll do that instead.
Many thanks
