Is there a tutorial for editing the codes?

Is there an easy way to remove entries from the baptised field and put them in the christened field instead? At the moment I am always left with 'christened' left empty on the bottom of the events list. Alternatively is there a way to stop 'christened' from appearing in the events?

A child born out of wedlock could have the father's name shown on the certificate provided the man appeared in person before the registrar

My grandmother, Jeanie was born 1899 and never had a birth cert. She used her baptism cert for her pension. We finally found her birth registered under the name Jinny - her mother was illiterate and the name was written the way she said it, so check for alternative spellings.

What is an OLE object? I see it when I go to insert multimedia and I am not sure what it would be used for.

What is the difference between baptism and christening? Why are there two fields?

I have hadded the multimedia objects to the sources. From within an individual record I can see the source but how do I open the picture from within the record? Sorry to be a pain.

Does that mean I have to add it to every baptism/marriage at that Church individually - is there no way it can be done once for each event at that place?

I have pictures of churches and schools which I want to link to the relevant places or sources and then be able to see them from within an Individual record. So if someone was baptised in a specific church I could see the picture. Likewise I have old photographs of places that I don't know how to ma...

This is excellent. I only wish you had included 1841. I have created several records and it has made me realise that I had a few more gaps than I thought.
