Sprucing Up The Wishlist
I'm finding the current state of the wish list most confusing -- I'm going through looking at what I want to vote on and finding some of them are CLOSED or DUPLICATE when I look at the detail... Is there any way to reflect the status in the title?

What is the Purpose of Plugins?
I completely agree with Nick -- if, in the next release, Calico Pie just provided functionality that plug-ins already provided, there's be no point in buying it. I want them to concentrate on the stuff that plug-ins can't do -- rich text is one excellent example, and the data changes that Jane menti...

Recent versions of Word will edit an html file just as Merenwen described. I wouldn't use it to generate html, because the html it generates is dreadful, but it's perfectly adequate to change colours, apply highlights and such like. Just don't change the file type when you save it! It might be worth...

I also go to Herber first when in doubt. As Jane says, The Genealogist's Internet goes out of date quickly. Although there's an attempt to keep the links cited up to date at http://www.spub.co.uk/tgi4/links.php , that page doesn't include any new useful links. Don't discount http://www.genuki.org.uk...

Option to remove Birth details from living people? Option to rename living people to 'Living' or some other fixed text? I personally don't use the Living Flag as I keep forgetting to set it! I use RP to exclude all people born after a certain year totally, and exclude Birth details and rename the in...

My existing scripting uses UltraEdit to stitch together FH output and Logicmill output (I like the navigable trees from Logicmill). I shall have to look at how much effort moving to Lua will be. Edit: I suppose I could look at using Lua to stitch these maps into the FH output, and then do my stuff w...

It would help if I could spell. it should have been Trecwn and that works perfectly! Sorry for wasting your time, Jane. And thank you for your work on this -- it's going to be really useful once I've scripted adding it into my web pages.

Deleted all the relevant plugin data and plugins. Deleted all previous downloads. Downloaded and saved files. Ran the files. They installed with the right name. Still have the problem -- have emailed you the files. The plugin data is not empty this time (that is, the Map-Geocode maintenance file.) T...

Still getting the same problem, Jane. And every time I download the plugins, they're installed with a number after them, e.g. Map Life Events-5.
I'll email you the files.

Yes, it's the most common place on the person.
I can't find anything in ProgramData/Calico Pie/Family Historian 5.0 Beta/Plugins except the plug in files themselves.

A little snag.... I have used the geo-code maintenance to map Llanfair nant Y gof, Pembrokeshire, Wales to Trecwn, Pembrokeshire, Wales. When I map the events, I get the error message LLanfair Nant Y Gof, Pembrokeshire, Wales 17 events was not found for the following reason: ZERO_RESULTS and the map...

I was actually thinking of one page per person (formatted as now) rather than one page for all people...
If it was one page for a group of people, I don't think it would make sense to show all events. Different coloured markers for different people would make sense though.

That would be good.
It would also be good to be able to generate map html for everyone in a named list rather than one at a time.

A cross reference would help... including an option for place to latitude/longitude perhaps? I'm thinking of cases where not only the county has changed, but the name has changed completely or the place has ceased to be shown on maps. For example, loads of my ancestors lived in Llanfair Nant Y Gof, ...

It's too late for you now, but http://www.fhug.org.uk/wiki/doku.php?id ... e_settings will tell you where the custom query files are stored -- next time you can copy them en masse using the windows file copy facilities.

I wouldn't give much attention to the difference between Lily and Lilie in the various records -- those say more about the census enumerator's / vicar's etc. spelling than anything else. In the absence of anything else, and if you're certain they're all the same individual, I'd use the name at marri...
