I haven't even started with Lua, Mike -- too much VBA and website stuff (not to mention other commitments, including actually researching FH).
If you have the time and think it's useful enough to others that would be great. Otherwise I'll add it to the end of a long list of to-dos.

Fact for 'admittance to a home'.
I have a source (relating to 3 individuals) relating to their admittance to a home (see below). Is there a standard fact I should use or a fact set I could download , or should I generate a custom fact). =================================================================================== Item: Frank ...

Re: Assigning a fact to multiple individuals
Mike, that sounds good -- and I wouldn't want to create multiple facts except from a single source citation.
Hadn't spotted that plugin but it might be useful to fix the inadvertent instances were As has produced witnesses -- although I usually just delete them.

Re: Assigning a fact to multiple individuals
Unfortunately, the witness feature doesn't seem to generate contents in summary reports, which are what I use... For example, my father was a witness to his father's death (Informant) but the summary report doesn't reflect that. Maybe I don't understand the witness feature well enough -- I've been t...

Assigning a fact to multiple individuals
Is there any efficient way to assign the same fact to multiple individuals. I have examples of passenger lists where multiple individuals from the same family have travelled together. Other examples include families admitted to the Workhouse, or a bunch of children admitted to a home... It's quite t...

Re: Passenger lists
Another possible approach which I am experimenting with, as I dislike having pairs of events (departure/arrival) for what is essentially a single event (a journey): Edit the 'Standard' Fact type Emigration to have the label 'Travelled' and the Abbreviation 'Travelled', and edit the sentence template...

Yes, that was the original request but please first follow the usual process of exhausting all options with the software as it currently exists. Once that has been done, a wish list request can be added to the existing 174 requests and voted on.

Re: Descriptive Report on Enlistment 1st WW
Create a source for the document and (if you can) attach an offline copy (as media) for safety with details about where it came from and copyright restrictions. Use Automatic Source Citation to select this new source and then enable it. Create all the facts you need and your new source will be cited...

What am I missing for media captions
I have a custom report based on the Individual Summary Report. The options for images are:
The images are all set to have 'Note as Caption':
However, the pictures in the report do not have any captions at all:
What have I missed?

Automatically add a keyword to a source image?
Is there a way to automatically add a standard keyword to a source image (media record) in AS? I like to categorise my source images with the keyword 'source' (and my photos of people with 'person' and places as 'place'). As many of my sources and associated media records are created with AS it woul...

Allow the display of Count of Children in the marriage section of an Individual Summary Report
At present, although you can input the Count of Children for a marriage (via the records window > All tab), you can't display it in the marriage section an Individual Summary Report. It can be included in the Main section, but not grouped with the appropriate spouse. Can we have the ability to show ...

Re: Child count in focus window
It's subordinate to FAM_RECORD, at the same level as HUSB and WIFE, so why can't it be displayed? I don't need to attach a note to it -- I can attach the note directly to the marriage record.

Re: Child count in focus window
In my mother's instance, the first Child count relates to her first relationship, and the second child count to the second relationship, so I'd like to see 1 for the first family and 4 for the second. I agree it would be better to use the Family attribute for count of children, rather than individua...

Amend calculation of Children count in Focus Window
For privacy reasons (in recent families) I am not recording details of each child (except in a private note) but I am recording child counts for the parents concerned. However, the Focus Window shows Children 0 for such relationships so I'm guessing this is based on recorded descendants not Count of...

Re: Child count in focus window
I've tracked down the reason for the gaps after the child count -- there were some weird invisible characters trailing the end of the private notes in some instances. Deleting and recreating the notes has fixed it.

Re: Child count in focus window
Mike, a single bracketed private note. No external newline characters.
Interestingly, the gap appears for the mother but not for either of the fathers.

Child count in focus window
I'm revisiting my FH, reviewing/re-validating all my conclusions and ensuring they're properly documented. For privacy reasons, I'm starting with my parents and only recording details of their offspring in a private note (easier than remembering to exclude the children before I publish on the web) a...

Valkrider/Colin, Jane has turned on the Pro-Silver Theme (totally un-customised) so you have a choice -- but any changes made in the main theme won't be reflected there.
