Fill_in_the_blanks_Family_Group_Sheet

Is it possible to modify this questionnaire sheet? It appears to be in 'read only format' only. Suggestions please.

Query External File Links

Dear Tatewise,
Thank you for your reply. Can help me further please? Your download mutimediafilelinks.fhq was downloaded into OpenOffice.org Calc. The result is a read only file, which will not accept the query result set?
Please advise.
Thank you.

Column for unique numbers in Record window

My working papers are filed in binders with a unique file reference, unrelated to FH record IDs. I would like to have these file references in a column on the Record window in FH. The question is 'How can I create this, so these unique references can be entered manually against the individual?' Can ...

No entries received in FH events file

Thank you Jane and Nick for your prompt replies. A relatively basic error has led me astray, but thanks to your clear instructions will teach me to be more careful in the future. Many thanks once again.

No entries received in FH events file

I have upgraded to Gedcom v6.06, and now find the entries are not being received in the events file of the target individual in FH v3.1.2. They are recorded in the Log File, but I cannot see the way to download from this file, if it is possible? I have used other people's suggestions in the forum; e...

Ahnentafel ID numbers

Is it possible therefore to nominate oneself as the root person, similar to the Query window (ancestors), to enable a column of Ahnentafel numbers to be generated?

Census years in the Record Window

I use Gedcom Census v4.0.7. to download Census information into FH. In the record window the result is a column titled “Census date” with one date only. At a John Hanson FH course in January at SoG, he illustrated how one can show in the record window every census year with the occupation and reside...

GenSmarts

Has anyone experienced the use of Gensmarts? This is a new U.S. programme which analises your data and makes research recommendations. I understand they have recently incorporated England, Scotland and Wales. Comments please.
