Re: Exporting Family Historian data to a TNG Website
Thank your Adrian. Having got it started, as you suggest I'll use the next sessions tinkering (carefully) and getting to know it. I've managed to get all the basic images over and linked to their record.
Sorted the "His Side/Her Side" issue in Admin as you suggested!
No doubt I will be in touch.

Re: Exporting Family Historian data to a TNG Website
I replied to this in the other thread ... did it get moved? Anyway I will repost my answer below. Yes I have had one try but did not use the plugin. Just exported and then imported the Gedcom into an empty TNG site, following the establishment of the TNG site. It seemed to work pretty well with dat...

Re: ADVICE: First time exporting to a TNG Website
Thanks all. I am using Family History V7. As for TNG I am using the latest version , v.14.0.2. I have a domain all ready and have uploaded TNG to it. I have yet to go through the setting up procedure and setting up the database. I was then just going to get FH to create an export file, but noticed t...

V4 - When?
It isn't the end of the month yet!
Personally I'm happy to wait for all the bugs and problems to be ironed out. Mind you giving out a deadline is a hostage to fortune

Digitising Old Negatives - Advice Needed
My flatbed scanner does not have such a facility. I've heard of it so I must take a look around.
Thanks, Jane for point it out to me.

Digitising Old Negatives - Advice Needed
I've got the use of a device for digitising 35mm slides and negatives, but I have some even older larger negatives in a variety of sizes.
Any advice from someone who have experience of turning such negatives into digial files would be appreciated.

FH on 2 Computers
It could be that the FH CD you have copied to the pen drive has a 'name' I haven't got my FH CD handy o check this out. Look at it on your main computer in 'My Computer' and if it had a name - try renaming you pen drive with the same identity as the orginal disc. With some programs when you enter th...

I found some 'old' standard 8 cine films in the loft and had them put on DVD a few years back. The trouble was one of them had not been re-wound so when we viewed them we have some memorable shots of of the family walking backwards down from the top of Scarfell Pike!![mad]

I need help from a Guardian reader!
Is there a regular Guardian reader (or do you know one) who can help me. The Guardian, during the first week in November, published a series of seven free booklets about the First World War. I have six of the seven booklets, but the first one seems to have been sent for recycling :( To complete my ...
