Problem opening V.5: File ';mfc100.dll';,
Many thanks Jane for your help. As a matter of fact, I am running Vista Home Premium. I found that the .dll was in fact missing, and resolved the issue from information found here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_programs/where-can-i-find-to-download-mfc100dll/4894...

Problem opening V.5: File ';mfc100.dll';,
I have just installed my version 5 upgrade (via CD)and when I try to open the programme, I get the following error message:
'Cannot find import; DLL may be missing, corrupt, or wrong version
File 'mfc100.dll', error 126'
Any ideas how to proceed, please?
Many thanks

Amen to these well-deserved positive comments! Family Historian is a splendid genealogy programme, and Ancestral Sources a brilliant tool for using in conjunction with it. I agree with Bill - I don't know what id do without it either. Thank you so much Nick, for creating and developing Ancestral Sou...

Language Spoken
This may have already been asked - but I am adding some Welsh relatives presently, and am wondering if there is a facility for adding a 'Language Spoken' column in the 1911 cnesus template. There doesnt appear to be one unless I am missing something. Thank you Nick for the excellent Ancestral Source...

Blocking selected photos in online Trees
Many thanks for your reply, Jon. Sorry it has taken me a while to respond and thank you - but I have been away for a while. I have looked into your method - which I hadn't known about previously - and, yes, it works fine for reports and diagrams. I upload my data using Family Historians website-crea...

Blocking selected photos in online Trees
There may be a very obvious answer to this question, so please forgive me if I have missed it. I have been sent photographs by a relative to include in my Family Historian data, in particular for a tree that is to be printed and sent to members of that specific branch of the family. However, she has...

Photographs and notes on FH created website
Hello I am probably missing the obvious again here, but when one creates a website using Family Historian, is it possible to show the notes that accompany the objects (e.g. photographs). These often clarify why the photo is included with an individual, and thus far I don't seem to be able to find ho...

Gedcom Census Ref Code
Ahhh! I see - check the auto reference box - I thought it used to do that!
My version must have reverted back to default at some point.
Thanks Jane - now I can go back to being super-lazy!
Cheers

Gedcom Census Ref Code
Apologies if this has already been dealt with elsewhere ... can't seem to find a mention of it. I was wondering if I am mis-remembering something. Didn't GedcomCensus use to automatically fill in the first part of the Census ref code e.g. 1841 HO107/ 1851 HO107/ 1861 RG9/ 1871 RG10/ etc etc. I might...

Missing link on FH generated website
Hi! I am probably being super-obtuse here, but I'm having a problem with a missing link! I have set up my website using the FH 3 wizard, and included a link to a picture of a diagram - my direct ancestors. I created the diagram, saved it as a .png doc and created the link via the wizard. I uploaded...
