The first ones are there because you have defined absolute location for the files, that second lot is because you have defined a relative location.
Pick out one multimedia file from both types and look at the record for it. You will quickly see how the references for the files is different.

Source for notes included in reports
I would like to see sources for items such as notes, that can have multiple people linked to, printed / included in the reports. Currently the note is put in, but nothing about where the note has come from etc. http://www.fhug.org.uk/wishlist/wldisplay.php?orderby=wlwlcrtdate&orderseq=DESC&wlwlref=4...

Should note sources appear on reports?
OK, just wasn't sure. Thought there might have been an option to turn this on / off.
Does seem a bit of odd behaviour to me, I will add it to the wish list forum for consideration / movement onto the list.

Should note sources appear on reports?
I have a note associated with a number of individuals, which has a source linked to it. When you generate a report, such as an individual summary report, the note is included in the report, but the source is not.

The limitation is your printer driver, not the FH program.

It is view only, it is not an editor.
There was a recent update, now it can display a family tree as well.

Customised tabs on Property Box
If you go to the download page, http://www.fhug.org.uk/cgi-bin/index.cgi?action=downloads, there is a table at the bottom that lists the most recent uploads, and the very first one is Property Box customisation - Military & Census, http://www.fhug.org.uk/cgi-bin/index.cgi?action=downloadinfo&cat=fac...

Sorry scrub that, just found out that you can't have two versions on the same computer. Very weird. First software package I have ever used that stops you having multiple versions on the one computer, very weird.

Can't you just install it in a different location on the same machine? Then have both the old and the new version available?

Long/Wide PDF Files
I have recently been trying to get a family tree printed out for an upcoming reunion. Was hoping to get it into one continuous strip, but as it turns out, it is going to have to be in two. There are two issues, either of which if I had a solution would have been able have it done. First is that any ...

Changing the type of a media object
Is it possible to change the type of a media object, after it has been linked to? If I have an image that I have linked to a source, then want to change it to a pdf, well, it just wont let you do it. You have to remove the link, change it, then link again. Is there some way to make the change withou...

Descendents Family Tree, Coloured by Branch
Any suggestions on how to colour a family tree so that it is based on the particular branch? I am working on a tree, at the moment it is coloured based on the generation(one of the ones that comes with FH). What I want to do is have each entire family leg from the top family have a different colour....

Nick, they do seem to have a similar shape to me. So may be it is a brother of his? I am pretty sure it is Mary and Charlotte, they have pretty distinctive looks, though Mary being 24 in the photo may be does not fit that well. Anyway, thank you everyone for your input, it is good to get some indepe...

The names written on the back are (left to right): Richard Hughes WARREN (1883-1933) - father John McKenzie WARREN (1910-1990) - son Mary Helen MCKENZIE (1861-1945) - grandmother Charlotte Elizabeth HUGHES (1828-1893) - great grandmother So the person that wrote it was thinking that as well. But the...
