Sorry, I don't follow. If I select Elizabeth Williams from the 'All individuals' list in GC, it will immediately appear as that under 'name' (bottom left of screen). Surnames of Female Spouses
In FH, female spouses are listed under their maiden surname, but on the Census (after they are married) they are listed under their husband's surname. So if I type into GC exactly what I see on the census form, GC cannot link to FH for the female spouse. How do we handle this? (Sorry if it's a silly...

You say there is no need to edit Gedcom Census as you can edit FH, but what if you make a mistake on entering data in GC (eg. Wrong name)?[frown]

I would like to see a facility for creating a coloured line joining distant relatives on an FH diagram, to make it easier to trace links between distant relatives. This facility exists in 'Family Tree Maker'
