Having just had a quick play it appears that you cannot get the ID into a diagram. What you can do is use the Custom ID.
Thinking about it you may not be wise using the auto generated ID as it is possible to renumber the records and then any cross referencing could be of little value.

Census amp; the Army
Does anyone know if serving members of the army appeared on any of the currently available census?
I am looking to find someone on the 1881 and/or 1891 census. I know that he was definately alive in 1882 but I cannot find him on the 1881 census.

Clipped Diagrams
I have noticed that when I go into a diagram the top of the box is 'clipped' by which I mean that the text is pushed up to the top and almost unreadable. I can resore this by clicking on the '+' zoom a couple of times.
Is there a setting that I may have inadvertantly changed or is this a bug?

Thanks Jane - Grey Base is back [smile] - just one (very) minor point the logo at the top is missing [frown]
Hopefully, when you get a couple of minutes, you can fix it. Good work.

Date of Birth Calculation
Would it be possible to include, at some point, the ability to calculate the date of birth from the data entered. By that I mean that if I have a person's age on a Marriage certificate and also on one or more census then could FH calculate the eariest and latest dates when that person could have bee...

1851 Census
I noticed last night that LDS have a Cd of the British 1851 Census available from thier site. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this data. Is it complete? Is it easy to find details within the CD? Is it worth getting? The reason I ask is that although it only costs $6 to buy ther...

Date on Diagrams
Is there a way to have the date on a diagram apart from manually entering it as one of the titles?
I have tried '=date()' as one of the titles but that did not work.

Another Printing Question
Sorry but I had not found the previous posts. I have downloaded PDF995, created a .pdf file and taken it along to my local Prontoprint shop who printed it off for me there and then. The more I use FH and find the features in it the more impressed I get with it each day. I do, however, seem to have a...

Another Printing Question
This is really a two part question.
Part 1 : Is it possible to output a diagram to a file?
Part 2 : Does anyone know of a service that will print the diagram file (assuming that it can be output) onto one (large) sheet?

Thanks - I had not tried using queries before.
Not being too familiar with queries can you give me a quick guide on how to select individuals - I can get at the attributes no problem.

Export Report Data
I have been searching through this forum but I do not seem to be able to find any mention of my problem. What I would like to be able to do is to export, for selected names, selected data. By export I mean that I would like to create a file that can be read by Word or Excel. Does anyone know if this...
