Same here, but I think that was fixed in v7.012

The updated Export Gedcom File V4.1.2 (18578) excludes Sort Dates from FTM if you would like to try it.

Dave, if you used that Excel workaround, would cells with hyperlinks to records & external URL be preserved? I suspect not.
Also dates prior to 1900 might pose a problem.

It should not significantly matter how much RAM as it just means there is more Page Swapping to disk which is probably SSD these days. Anyway, the comparisons are often being done between similar spec PC running FH V6 versus FH V7, and FH V7 is much much slower if it works at all.
