Hi,
Is it possible to add a flag to multiple records at once? I currently have 5.5k living people in my tree which all have a 'living' flag. Is it possible to add a 'private' flag to all of these records in one go?
Kind Regards,
Craig Mollekin

Adding custom pages to generated website
Hi, When creating a book within Family Historian, it is possible to create custon text pages I believe. I haven’t actually created any yet, but if I did, would it possible to add these to a generated website? I’m basically wanting to add custom pages to my website. No big deal if I can’t. Kind Regar...

Photos not showing
Hi, I’m hoping one of our knowledgeable members might be able to help me here. I’m sure it’ll be something obvious, but for some reason, photos are not displaying on my website generated family group sheets (accessed from the ‘Index’). I’ve attached some images to try and help diagnose my problem. K...

Re: Bulk adding data to Family Historian
Thanks for the suggestion, Jane. I'm struggling with it at the moment, but it does look like a good idea.

Re: Bulk adding data to Family Historian
Thank you, Colin. I was looking at your website only a couple of days ago. I think what you have created is amazing, but I noticed the limitation of relationships. Details on my photographed headstones would need to be linked to the relationships included on them. Is there a way around this? (I appr...

Bulk adding data to Family Historian
Hi, I'm hoping some clever person here might have a suggestion for me. I am currently extracting lots of names and dates etc from a collection of gravestones that I have photographed. Currently, I simply add the data into Family Historian but I am finding this to be quite a time consuming process. I...

Re: Extracting media
Many thanks for your detailed reply, Mike. I feel like a bit of an idiot, lol, because although I knew the images were copied over, I was looking in the website folder for the images  So, it all works perfectly. The copied over files have the paths that I require and the images are of a qualit...

Hi, I use the Project function of Family Historian and it has helped me to create some brilliant websites and it is fantastic in the way that it can be tweaked etc. to produce customised features. My users are very pleased with the effects. However, for VERY large trees, I use alternative software t...

Thanks, Mike.
I tend to like to eliminate the records as they appear in some website generation software that I use. It creates an 'unknown person' entry on the website. In PHP scripts that I use, I get no such error.

I simply created the query that Jane suggested, Mike and that identified who the marriage entry pertained to. I'd previously tried to use the 'events', 'facts' and a modified 'all individuals' query which only returned blank fields.

Will do, Mike.
I only needed to find the rogue marriage data so I haven't really spent enough time understanding how the plugin works.

Unfortunately, I don't know what the problem was, Mike. I just know that there was a marriage entry in a couple of the standard queries that had no data attached to them. What caused this to happen is sadly beyond my understanding of how Gedcoms/Family Historian works.

I did spot the one parent families. But what if there are no children, i.e., just one person without children but with un-named spouse (thus not a parent)?

Thanks, Mike, I understand how it works now; very clever. I've just checked on an earlier Gedcom. It found a lot of stuff out, but it didn't seem to pick up on the marriage problem. It would be handy actually if it picked up on relationships where no spouse is entered.....for example where the Tree ...

Many thanks for all the replies. I attempted to use the Project plug in. It reported the stats but I couldn't seem to find who the stats referred to (only numbers with nothing to click on and no links). Perhaps because I'm not actually doing a project? I built a family marriage query as suggested an...

Hi Bill,
I am referring to the middle entry where all you can see is 'marriage'.

Hi Bill,
No, there is no date to click on. In fact there, is nothing to click on at all.

Hi, I have noticed, in a couple of queries that I have generated, that I have two marriages in an imported Gedcom that appears to have no data attached...no people, date or location etc; just a marriages stuck in limbo. I have attached a screen capture. Has anybody got an idea as to how I can go ab...

No, Jane, I haven't. I think Plugin making is a bit beyond my capabilities. :D I did manage to remove a lot of the links to images, but these remain. I have a hunch that these are embedded (although not in the Gedcom I have). I did filter a lot of UIDs, but these slipped through. I think I did filte...

I am planning to merge a new Gedcom, but before I do, I am cleaning up the Gedcom etc. The imported Gedcom has a number of items that I need to remove. I have validated the Gedcom etc and removed the UIDs etc, but a number of things remain that I don't want. I have attached a screenshot. There is...
