Hi, I've just used this and generated a new site: http://mollekin.net/familytree/war/index.html The plugin works perfectly. The search box looks great with the description. No pop ups occur and the cursor doesn't even turn into a hand/grabber. The URLs open without affecting the code that I added. I...
Hi, I’ve just tried this out and I must admit that it’s pretty damn good :-) The search function is brilliant and exceeded my expectations. There are a couple of points though that I’d like to raise:- 1) It is brilliant how it searches for names. However, the way it searches might add confusion. For...
I won't know until I build the site from scratch though will I? It takes a few hours, so don't really want to try to try it until the site is ready for rebuilding. When was the latest 5.0.9 released?
...and I just realised that I didn't answer your question, Mike. I would prefer all names to sit in expandable links. I think have some grouped and some not might look a tad untidy/unusual? Preferably surnames could be listed horizontally rather than just a vertical list, so as to save space and mak...
I'll be building the website again in a couple of weeks so will probably wait until then before I do anything but will use one of your suggested methods.
I've contacted Calico Pie again, so it'll be interesting to see the outcome.
Okay, thanks, I get it now. Yes, so I'd generate the custom reports and save them, but not in the main folder. Then I'd generate the website as usual and then copy the reports over into the main folder after completion.
Hi Mike, I’ll download the updated 5.0.9., thanks. With regards to step one:- “Run the usual Create a Website wizard, but at Step 2 reduce the selection to just one Individual.” - Do you mean select just one person for the website or just one photo for the selected individuals? With regards to your ...
Hi, It would be nice if on the Index page, surnames could be grouped by surname, rather than just one long list of names. So, for example, if I had 150 people with the surname of Jackson, they would grouped under Jackson which could then be expanded rather than listing every single Jackson in the su...
Hi Mike, I do use Windows 8 and standard installation of F.H. However, I don’t store the Projects in the default folder. They are stored on Documents/Genealogy/Projects I’ve been using 5.0.9 for some time now. I usually update as soon as I’m aware of an update. You’re a genius for finding a solution...
Hi Mike, Apologies for my late reply. In answer to some of your questions:- "Do you use the same Individual Summary Report (for Web, CD or DVD) for Step 3 - Choose Report Template > Primary Page Type and all five Step 4 - Add Items for Table of Contents?" - YES Also confirm that the same Report Opti...
I'm not sure, but the Index has always displayed the individuals correctly. It's interesting how Enoch displays correctly in the Index but not the ToC. Yes, the web pages display incorrectly also when accessed from my project folder. I've attached examples of the settings. Thanks for looking at this...
Hi Mike, The problem does not occur in the Index of names. I did initially think along the line that this was happening because the photos were linked to multiple people BUT, in my filtered reports, photos of children are appearing too that are NOT linked to the featured individual. For example, Eno...
Thanks Jane and Mike. I don't think they are custom reports as such? They are basically lists of people that I've filtered from flags (war causalities and accidents etc). I then select the option for the pictures in each report. With regards to your plugin in Mike, I didn't mean that I thought it wa...
I selected the options in all reports to show only the individual's events. However, the reports in the Contents ignore this and display what they want.
