My point about it being ambiguous is not that I can't understand it, but that there are at least 2 apparently authoritative but different answers. Unless you know which convention the writer subscribes to, you can't tell what 'twice removed' actually means.

Very few Windows apps use modeless data entry like the Property Box, as opposed to the pop-up, fill in, press Ok or Cancel style, in which Enter (or C/R) nearly always actions the Ok button. And as an aside, abbreviated place names are reset at each new generation in the report, the implication being that it needs repeating. I would have thought people's dates could follow the same logic.

Yes, if it's descendants, but it may be some way back and would do no harm to repeat it. But not if it's ancestors.

If I do a narrative report, Ancestors by Generation from my grandfather, in First Generation it reads: '1. Samson BOWYER (known as 'Tass'), son of Samson BOWYER (1842-1898) and Ann Eliza EDWARDS (1841-1908), was born...', and in Second Generation: '2. Samson BOWYER, son of John BOWYER and Ann GITTIN...

Am I missing something? How do you add media to a citation as opposed to a source?

What I do is, having changed the options for a report, save it as a custom report type and use that in future.

The problem is that FH doesn't recognise places a objects in the data model, so failing a major new version, you can't really do anything like this in any natural way. You could (somewhat unnaturally) create a source record called 'Pictures of Highoredish Farm' and link that to all references to it....

Not worth a wish list request in its own right, but while looking at what happens when space is restricted, and given that it abreviates names to initials, it would be helpful to also abbreviate the dates to years.

Double-clicking in a text box usually selects the word you clicked on, except in the FH property box where there is an extended entry box to pop-up (e.g. dates, places, etc).
