Hi Jane - So it has, thanks - strange though that in the help section it still says it's in the tools menu ie
'To open the Query Window click on Tools > Work with Queries, or click on the Query Window button on the main toolbar'

Can't see any mention of this in earlier posts. I have recently upgraded to V4 from V3 and all seemed well, however I have just noticed that I don't have an option to 'Work with Queries' in the tools menu anymore? Hi Sue,
If you right click on ant empty space in any of the record list windows(including the Multimedia one) you will get an option 'colums' click on this and there are several options for changind the order and displaying different columns etc. Hope this is what you wanted? [smile]

Many thanks Jane, a quick check like you suggested has confirmed that it is indeed the record numbers that appear to be used.

This should make it easy to keep things up to date - just have to remember not to renumber the records in my file!
