Sprucing Up The Wishlist

All WL items with HTML at the start of the descriptions amended. I have only left tags within the text. I have also closed those which would not close due to having HTML as the first characters. It seems obvious now - sorry. I suggest two more weeks then, if you're in agreement Jane, closing the one...

Sprucing Up The Wishlist

So for WL#511, is it that I need to change example 1 (below) to example 2 or to example 3? 1)     I would appreciate one more flexibility on the Template Codes. I like to translate my Sentences to Portuguese and other languages. We could have the option to change the {individual} to other options li...

Sprucing Up The Wishlist

I'll go through them and remove the html if that's ok. I did it because the descriptions were very hard to read. Unlike the forums where anybody had formated anything Like this and this it came out without format Like this and this. I personally originally gave up reading many of them. I would not t...

WL#472 - Fuzzy Search

Jane, That's not quite what I was thinking of Here's a really rough mock-up of the sort of screen I was thinking of: http://www.fhug.org.uk/images/uploads/CaptureXa.jpg Obviously lot more fields with some kind of +1yr, +2yrs etc for dates If it works the same way as your Search All Possible Names, t...

Sprucing Up The Wishlist

I think that's my fault. The closed ones should be automatically filtered but the release version (which provides the filter) does not seem to be retained. Jane has granted me rights to edit the wishlist and I closed a lot of items, but put them as being closed by V5, whereas they should have been s...

Sprucing Up The Wishlist

Sorry Irene, We'll have to blame whoever invented the English language. Voting 0 means 'I raise no objection, because I have no interest' That said, why should I stand in the way of those who do have an interest? Perhaps the wishlist voting text (which is probably part of the software that Jane boug...

Sprucing Up The Wishlist

Dear Irene, Voting 0 does not effect the score or any averages. My interpretation of voting 1 means that you definitely do not want that feature to be introduced as opposed to having no interest. An example, as a PC user I have no interest in the wish to create a version of FH for an Apple MAC so I ...

WL#472 - Fuzzy Search

I cleared all my wishlist votes and have started going through each wish again, carefully. I've open up this particular one (and I didn't suggest it!) and I can see it has had very little attention - perhaps because of the description. I feel the wish is valid and could probably be fulfilled by buil...

Editing place-names in bulk

In V5 its
TOOLS > Work With Data > Places
(and addresses)

You can do it individually (EDIT) or in bulk (REPLACE WITH)

I think it was there in V4 too

You're reading my mind!

I was looking at WL#510 and could see two names at the bottom (not sure if that's visible to everyone) but only one vote.

I think all the requests have either been transformed to WL items or (set to be) removed from the requests form.

I do not feel this should be added to the wishlist.

The UPDATED columns within each Record Window can show last updated and WL#504 (Starting with the last person looked at after reload or restart) may also be connected.

Jane - if you agree, can it be removed from the requests forum.
