Family Historian Courses in the South West?

I would come to either, but would prefer a full day.

Always on top

I have been using Deskpins which allows me to have FH on top of a website without disappearing every time I change a webpage. It suddenly occurred to me that there might be an internal setting in FH which allowed the program to be 'always on top'.

Keep on Top -Deskpins

I have been using this very useful app for some time. I use it when inputting information into FH from an online source document. It allows FH to stay on top of the source document instead of disappearing, and works with all the other programs that I have tried too. http://users.forthnet.gr/pat/efot...

Property Box disappearing

The same thing has just happened to me. My property box has disappeared. I tried shutting down the computer but it still wasn't there.

Flags

Thanks for the explanation, Nick

I don't use them anymore, as I use your excellent program, but I still have some from when I first started. I must make an effort to amend them, as GC doesn't like the flags I set on the family census and I wondered why?

Flags

Nick
Does the Gedcom Census recognise flags that have been set on family census events rather than just the individual?

V4 Officially Here

I have managed to restore Family Historian 3.1.2 using a back up. What a relief.
I think I will now wait for my proper disc upgrade. I only hope it doesn't need the key from Version 2.

V4 Officially Here

I have ordered a copy of the upgrade but couldn't wait until it arrived, so I downloaded the trial. It took a long time and would only load in small sections. I had to keep cancelling the download and then restart it and it would start again from the same place it had finished. Eventually it install...

What other software do you use for Family History?

I had Zotero recommended to me and it is excellent when web surfing. 'Zotero [zoh-TAIR-oh] is a free, easy-to-use Firefox extension to help you collect, manage, and cite your research sources. It lives right where you do your work—in the web browser itself. ' I put my different families into collect...
