I do not know how much you are paying Chris but I have just signed somebody up to https://www.vidahost.com/web-hosting/overview and they are priced well if you signup for a year.

Timeline chart
Made a couple of very minor changes that I think make it read a bit better:
startLabel: 'Birth',
addFact(ptrEvent,'Child: '..fhGetItemText(ptrChild,'~.NAME') ..' '..fhGetDisplayText(ptrEvent))
It looks like a lot of the formatting is from either the timeline class or the FH database?

I think you are limited to 3 lots of data in the addresses - check the Tools - work with data - places and you will see what I mean.

If you have the email address that is linked to the fhug paypal account you can do something like 'send payment' to that email address. Your payment will pressumably be in $ and Jane will then be able to convert it to £ for a small fee.

Notes on tree
Yes rec notes did it but displayed a lot more than I wanted! I will have to decide the type of note to display and where the note comes from. This way I can just display the notes I want to see.

Is it just me or is there a problem with the notes displaying on the tree diagram. I have added some local notes to people to remind me to look into a problem and they are not showing up.
I have Birth, Marriage, Death + Notes selected for the chart options.

Is there a good way of adding a 'living' place fact to FH so that it can be picked up by this plugin. As I have lived in different places that would only show up in censuse not yet released and no other events?

Timeline chart
The timeline is an interesting plugin and it should encourage me to at least add some estimated dates to facts which I was not doing before. A couple of 'nitpicks': 1/ Not every piece of information is on a line of its own - if the text overlaps then a new line is started. 2/ I would add a space aft...

V5 release has been on most websites that supply it since before christmas. It is not good though - try contacting the vendor and see wha...

V5 and the Plugin Store
I have been looking on and off for the plugin store online and I am sure I found it before christmas. Just had a look again at the FH website and found a note under Version 5 new features as part of the program. This means I will have to wait until installing version 5 to see what is available; migh...

Document manager software is available in free and paid versions although I have never tried any.
When I look before you could keep track of physical paper documents as well as electronic ones.

Online databases e.g WVR, Findmypast and Ancestry
I still have WVR access at the moment and will carry on to find as much as I can until it runs out. Then as seems to be the general consensus go with the company that has the records I require for a while. I can get used to search engine problems which may be a pain but not insubmountable. For insta...

Some interesting software and displays the data nicely. I was a bit confused with the setup but sorted it in the end. Quite a lot of data was not used ( I can not remember what it was called or what data was missed now ). Perhaps I need more of a tidyup with my original file. Could do with some UK s...
