With my version 4 brought as a boxed item I recived a 30 day trial of the Vital records website. Did you not get it with the download?

Made a couple of very minor changes that I think make it read a bit better:

It looks like a lot of the formatting is from either the timeline class or the FH database?

I think you are limited to 3 lots of data in the addresses - check the Tools - work with data - places and you will see what I mean.

If you have the email address that is linked to the fhug paypal account you can do something like 'send payment' to that email address. Your payment will pressumably be in $ and Jane will then be able to convert it to £ for a small fee.

Nice colourful result Chris; interesting as well.

Particularly useful if you do not have any photos of the person.

I noticed the same thing when I brought my copy before christmas.
I ordered some other software last week from another company and it was £1 cheaper by post and had free delivery!

Yes rec notes did it but displayed a lot more than I wanted! I will have to decide the type of note to display and where the note comes from. This way I can just display the notes I want to see.

I ment to say the note shows up OK in the focus box.

Is it just me or is there a problem with the notes displaying on the tree diagram. I have added some local notes to people to remind me to look into a problem and they are not showing up.
I have Birth, Marriage, Death + Notes selected for the chart options.

I only recived my update disc a couple of hours ago and only tried this and the timeline - both excelent tools.

Is there a good way of adding a 'living' place fact to FH so that it can be picked up by this plugin. As I have lived in different places that would only show up in censuse not yet released and no other events?

The timeline is an interesting plugin and it should encourage me to at least add some estimated dates to facts which I was not doing before. Document manager software is available in free and paid versions although I have never tried any.

When I look before you could keep track of physical paper documents as well as electronic ones.

You are correct it was the Ancestors Now tree builder and not VGedX.

I have tried it and it is useful as it generates the citations etc. and links the census to all relavant people.
