Re: Insert Page Breaks?
"It is a pity that each image Caption does not include the Reference Number of its associated Source Citation." Yes, Mike, I agree 100% with the above statement. Although there is a Source Citation identifying label printed along the bottom of each Source image, it just does not give the Source Refe...

Re: Insert Page Breaks?
Just a follow-up to some experimenting with the "Report Options>Sources>Location" menu. I had previously had that Location menu item set to "Below Each Citation" and was getting the citation on one page and the Source doc on the following page, as discussed in my original post. So, I changed that Lo...

Re: Insert Page Breaks?
Thanks for the reply Mike. Yes, I have done the manual page break routine in my experimental rtf trials. Was hoping I could do this in FH rather than having to go the rtf route for a 2500 page document. Plus, the rtf file seems to re-arrange the way (location) that pictures are displayed on a page, ...

Insert Page Breaks?
I am using V 5.0.9. Is there any way to insert page breaks into the different report formats? I am compiling a family report using the Individual Summary Report format (about 2500 pages). Unfortunately, the automatically generated page breaks in the report do not handle my Source records well at all...

Marriage Picture & Text Order, Individual Summary
Yes, what we need is an option that will do 'In Rows Below Text, Left Aligned (or Right Aligned'. Until that happens, I guess I will just compile an rtf file and start editing 900 people.
Thanks for your suggestions Lorna.

Marriage Picture & Text Order, Individual Summary
Lorna, The text I am referring to is not the text associated with the multimedia pictures. It is the standard text block under the 'Marriage' section of the report that lists: 'Spouse', 'Children', & 'Marriage date & location'. All my spouse, children, and marriage pictures are presented before the ...

Marriage Picture & Text Order, Individual Summary
I am doing an Individual Summary Report. When the report gets to the 'Marriage' section, it lists all the marriage linked pictures and children's pictures prior to the text summary for Spouse, Children, & Marriage. I would like to list the text summary prior to the pictures. Is there any way to fo...

Duplicate Source Pictures Under Family Group Sheet
I'll be darned. Yes, it was a tiny spelling error in the 'Where within Source' box, i.e., the husband's box included the text 'See attached photo of grave stone', while the wife's text box said 'See atached photo of grave stone'. Notice the way the word 'attached' is spelled in each case, i.e., on...

Duplicate Source Pictures Under Family Group Sheet
There is a 'Burial' event for each person. That Burial event has a different date for each person, since the husband & wife died on different dates. The 'Source' for each Burial event is identical, i.e., 'Grave Stone, Frank & Caroline Dobbels'. In fact, I set up the Burial event Source, with the a...

Duplicate Source Pictures Under Family Group Sheet
I normally attach grave stone pictures to Individuals as part of the Burial fact. In most cases, the grave stone picture includes both husband & wife. I use the same Source citation for both husband & wife. This practice puts the grave stone picture at the end of the report as part of my Source i...

I have 2 sets of conflicting data on who the ancestors are for a great(x4) grandfather. I would like to display both sets of data until (if ever), I can prove one data-set is invalid. The only way available appears to be creating a second set of parents for the great(x4) grandfather and then expand...

You are right. That is where the problem was. I was not aware that I had done anything to alter any of those words, but I must have.
Thanks for the tip.

Duplicate Parents Display In Pedigree Chart
Thanks Jane. I understand now.
BTW, what is the logic for having the program display the duplicate parent boxes like what has occured in this example? Would having the program automatically connect both William and sister Joanna to the same set of parent boxes cause some type of charting problem?

Jane, I am not sure what you mean when you say 'fold the branch down'.
Also, how does one add a 'manual' line to connect William & Joanna to the same box of parents?

Duplicate Parents Display In Pedigree Chart
I have 2 people that are married and are both great grand-children of the same great grand-parents. For some reason, the pedigree chart displays duplicate sets of great grand-parent boxes leading to each of the married, great, grand-children. I have attached a picture of the chart which I hope you ...

Multimedia Overlap, Family vs Source Records
OK, so you are suggesting that I delete the link between the marriage license photo and Family records. Then I leave that multimedia link intact for the Source citation of their marriage. I did this and it seems to provide an acceptable report format. No more double images - the marriage license i...

Multimedia Overlap, Family vs Source Records

For example, I have my parent's marriage license image linked to the Source record for their marriage. I also have the same photo image linked as a Family...

Peter, I did as you suggested and I now find that my Individual Narrative report shows 2 instances of each photo that I have linked to my source records. I am now creating a uniguely worded citation for every Fact for an individual. For example, I create a 'Birth' Fact. I fill in the relevant information about the birth and then create a uniguely worded citation for that birth Fact, e.g. 'Birth Certificate, RLW, 1943'. Then I go to the Multimedia Ta...

To this point, I have been linking all my census report images to the individuals that are referenced in the census sheets. Upon creating reports in FH, this causes all the census sheets to be presented next to the picture of the individual. Would the preferred route be to link census sheets, certi...
