I performed an uninstall and re-installed, checked that the larger Standard file was in the correct place and now have a fully functioning Fact Set with no extras in place.

Installing FH again over the top made no difference. In both folders which you listed I have two files Standard and Standard.v1. When I open the Event and Attribute List both Factset and Factset show 'No Events or Attributes'.
