Thanks for the information. I can remember entering both version 5 and 6 passwords into the upgrade program but the link they give you to the upgrade program is only valid for a couple of weeks.
Sounds like I have to contact Calico Pie to get some help.

If I only have to enter 2 licence codes (v4 upgrade and the v5 upgrade) then that's easier than having to enter (and find) 3!

I initially purchased version 3 and then upgraded that to version 4 when that was released. Can I continue this process and purchase an upgrade to version 5? If so and at some point I change computer I'll then have to load version 3, upgrade to version 4 and then upgrade to version 5 - is that right...

Thanks Jane - I have started from scratch and now have a working copy of version 4.1.3 on my laptop. I suspect that it's a good job I kept a copy of the version 3 to version 4 upgrade program!

I use queries so infrequently that I always fail to get them to work! I am currently adding 1911 census entries and want to make sure that I have not missed anyone in my file who was alive in 1911. I have just upgraded my PC to Windows 7 and reinstalled all software. I'm pleased to report that the problem that I was having with the properties box being in the incorrect position has 'gone away'.

I've just done that (i.e. reset the properties box preferences to installation settings) but to no avail.

I've been a bit rash and pre-ordered Windows 7. I'll let you know if I still get the problem when I do a full reinstall after loading the new OS.

Just realised that all I have to do to cause the problem is to switch between focus window and individual records window - and back to focus window - and the properties box is now in the middle of the screen!
