I checked and sure enough the read only attribute was on. I had three other custom fact types and the read only attribute was on for them as well. I turned them all off and the error went away.

I find that I do the same thing all the time. It would be a very nice enhancement if typing multiple letters in any FH list took you to the entry in the list that started with those letters.

I submitted a wish list request to allow adding fields with qualifiers to tabs as read-only text boxes/labels.

Allow us to add fields with qualifiers (such as INDI.NAME[1]:SOUNDEX) to tabs in the property box.

These could be displayed as read-only textboxes/labels.
