I'll take a look at this after Christmas.  I don't know much about scripting, but I might play around a bit with it.

I did try running it with Comodo turned off and I still get the same error. Strange that I could run the test.hta file which has basically the same line of code in it and that worked fine. If I take the Map Life Facts.hta file that exists after the error and save it to another file and run it all by...

It is kind of strange since I don't seem to have any problems with other scripts.

I was trying to figure out what was going on at line 27 character 7, which is where the error occurs, but I couldn't tell what line it thought was line 27.

I did a search and deleted all files that had 'Map Life Facts' in the name. I re-downloaded the plugin and installed it.  I checked and ensured that the lua file did not have the read only attribute set. I ran the plugin and again got the same error. I checked the hta file and the beginning looked t...

Worked as expected.

Both test.html and test.hta worked.  Test.html opened a map centered on London in my browser.  Test.hta opened a map centered on London in a new window.

Thanks for the reminder. I do keep all my settings backed up. I had forgotten about the Windows Easy Transfer. I will definitely look into that and will review all the pertinent info in the knowledge base.

As you already are aware, I get a script error using Vista Home Premium (32-bit) SP1 with Comodo Firewall.

I can't currently update to SP2 due to an issue with my computer BIOS and SP2.  So, I may be out of luck if that is the reason for the script error. I understand that beta testers will see things like this. That isn't a problem for me.

I guess I was confused. I thought I was using the current beta version (5.0.0.3) and I'm still experiencing the problem, so I thought it wasn't fixed.

I guess you must be referring to 5.0.0.4?

Thanks for the reply. That does make setting the date kind of problematic.

I think if Tools / Plugins displayed the version number (and if plugin authors reliably update the version number every time they make an update) that would take care of it.
