Just for info: Anyone with a tree on GenesReunited might like to check the permissions they have allowed/are allowed to see. There have been major problems in recent days!
Just a friendly warning in case there are people who do not wish everyone to see their tree!

Licensed Victuallers
It might be worth contacting the County Archive for the area the pub was in. I have licencing records for pubs in my family during the 1870s to 1890s. This was in West Yorkshire but not all the records survive. If they do it seemd they had to re-apply each year so there is a run of records.

Could this photo have been taken in 1911
Don't forget that photos which turn up (unlabelled) in family collections could just be friends of your parents/relations! I speak as one who has recently sent out a load of photos of my daughter's wedding to friends. Also I have just had to go through a huge drawer full of old photos as we cleared ...

Probate question

Probate question
My 4xgreat grandfather died in 1785 and his will was probated in 1804. No idea why! His wife did not die until 1825. The archivist did not seem that surprised when we found it so it must happen sometimes.
