Re: Pre-release of version 6.1
Just for the record I have successfully installed FH6.1 (first time) on a machine running Windows 10 (version 1511) and Trusteer Rapport (or Endpoint Protection as it is now called). I have not tried everything yet but all the web links seem to work and I get the same results as reported with filter...

Re: FT Analyzer
I started using FTA for the purpose of adding Lost Cousins. After a few hiccups I got this working and then I started to look at other aspects of FTA. The latest version has tabs for Sources and Facts. I began comparing the number of records for a particular source and fact on FH and FTA and I found...

Re: FH Crashing producing reports
Jane Should the plugin run without producing a report? Mike I think I have/had some individuals with death events but no facts attached. They may well be dead but I do not like to add the death without some evidence. As an aside, I have discovered that many of the problems I have have come from reco...

Thanks. I will try it. I was thinking of one that would clear all empty fields. I occasionally have problems with deaths.

I have been thinking about this. Would it be worth producing a Plugin to check for blank fields in Fact Sets?
One problem is that in the Property Box you cannot tell if they are blank or simply missing.

Re: FH Crashing producing reports
Mike I have cracked it! The person I was using as the source of the report happened to have a place field in the birth record which was blank. I have now removed the blank place field and all is well. Thank you for your patience. Is this a bug that should be reported? I seem to have found a lot this...

Re: FH Crashing producing reports
I don't understand it. It has now started crashing on the laptop with places selected in the index. So I started chopping. The tree is very lopsided at the second generation with about 1,660 people on a single line and 7 on the others. When I try to do a report with the 1,660 it works but I can see ...

I do get the not responding message on the laptop but not on the desktop. On the laptop ...

Re: FH Crashing producing reports
Mike I have now tried to produce the report on the Windows 8.1 machine without an index. It does work but it took a relatively long time (c 1 min) but it happened almost instantly on my Windows 7 machine so it does look as though there may be more than one problem. I have not really tried to produce...

Spoke too soon.
I have added create index in my laptop and it crashes. Create index was set on my other machine so that might be the problem.

Re: FH Crashing producing reports
Mike
I have tried to produce the same report, with exactly the same project file, on my laptop which is running Windows 7.
It worked without a problem.
I am not sure that I have the same settings on each machine so I will investigate further but WIndows 8.1 may be the culprit.

FH Crashing producing reports
I am trying to produce a descendants by generation report for 1667 people. Every time I try I get the message that the program has stopped working and windows is searching for a solution (which it never finds!). I am using FH 5.0.9 and Windows 8.1 I have searched on previous messages and as a result...

Clean living people
When I run the Clean Living People plug-in I cannot get the dates of living people to be removed. In fact, the only tab that does work is change living names to initials and surname.
What can I do?

Re: Finding Duplicate Individuals
Mike Thank you I have checked that i am on default settings and the Omit Duplicate table is blank. I have over 100 entries ranging from 14% - 42 points to 6% - 20 points Jean and Joan Barber Fletcher are siblings, in fact, twins. Finding Duplicate Individuals

The version of AS I am using (3.2.3) comes with pre-loaded Irish templates. You have to change the country to Ireland to use them but I had not noticed the tick box about reference ID. Always something new to discover.

Re: Irish Census
Thanks to those who have replied. I am glad to see that it is not just me who is having difficulty. I am not so bothered about identifying the images as I do store them in separate folders, in fact I have separate folders for Ireland, so that is not the issue. I have also come to the conclusion that...

Irish Census
I have found some ancestors on the 1901 and 1911 Irish censuses via Ancestry which has recently started listing them. The way it works is that Ancestry provides a link to the record on the National Archives of Ireland website which then provides a link to the original image. (This is in PDF format b...
