I have used the split tree function it is powerful, but I find it cumbersome. Also - on the business of whether it is intuitive, I am not sure that it is logical to have a window 'locked' to mean that it will stay in that window, when it would suggest that you can no longer edit that window...

I would love to be able to save diagrams. e.g. If I am working using a descendant chart of fred bloggs and I have set it how I want - with the font size how I like it, with certain lines switched on and off etc. it is very annoying to have to lose all of that because I have to move to another diagra...

A feature I would love to see is the ability to handle multiple diagrams simultaneously. e.g. if I have a chart showing the descendants of fred bloggs open, it might be useful to open another chart at the same time allowing me to compare information, or merely work on another line for a short while....

sounds a good idea, but having looked at this briefly (as it does seem logical), I am not quite sure how I would get the chart on screen and when printed to draw a line under someone for this purpose?

Mar,Jun,Sep,Dec is used for the BMDs, but others will use the first month of each QTR...
